Damn Chris, sorry to hear that! Especially since I'm just about to buy a sub for the first time!

You still have to come hang with the crew sometime though! You're still part of the original Dirty Jersey crew!

Yea man that sucks. I havent had it happen yet but all i can say is no matter what you do, even if your shit was stock but clean people still break into shit randomly and being that thats our cars fate then i wouldnt let it get you down and stop modding em. They win if they kill your spirit and passion. I cant speak from experience but you gotta do what u gotta do. Well just thought id throw that in. Im nervous now cuz its happend to a few people in the last month or two and im about to throw rims on and a 12'' orion xtr with an amp and the rims alone speak volumes.

One of my first days at my new job in Deptford, two cars got broken into. Thankfully I rarely drive to work! My girl drives (since we have all the same shifts). She has an alarm on her EG. It's been set ever since that day!

When my first Accord got broken into many years ago, I took a $5000+ hit because I lost my $3k system plus a guitar and many other expensive items. I lost the modding bug for a little while too, but it came back and was in the performance modification aspect instead of comfort and show. Since then I have not invested very much money into any car so if it gets stolen or broken into it's not a big deal, but there's still ways to do some good things for cheap. How about keepin up with H22 accords for less than $500 in parts? I hope you don't stay out of the mods for good, but it might not hurt to take a little break and refocus on what mods you are willing to do while keeping in mind the possibility that you may lose them one day.

          My Accord History:
          91 EX 2dr : 91 EX 2dr : 91 LX 4dr : 93 EX 2dr : 86 LXi 2dr : 92 LX 4dr : 92 EX 4dr

Some of you guys advice is good but some is straight BS!! If someone have their mind set on stealing your shit they gonna steal your shit, plain and simple!! I bump my damn music because its my damn car, I like loud music for me, I dont play it for show, just for me. I got bodykit, cause I like how it looks, I like it, not for no one else. I refuse to stop doing shit i like because of the fear of some envious asshole gonna jack my shit!! Thats why you insure your shit in case of it being damaged or stolen, I dont wear flashy jewelery but I have been robbed before, get it? You just got to be careful and make good judgement when and were you do stuff but dont let no one stop you from doing your shit! peace.

So the moral story to make it short stop puttin shit in yourcar that you know will be vulnerable to.

People watch and follow you for the good shit. Just leave some decent speakers in your car now with the subs and amps and all that shit. Jus tas long as you can hear the music and its quality leave it at that. No bodykits and all that garbage people pt on their cars nowadays, its jsut best to go unnoticed that way people wont give a shit and just keep it moving. But if you give people or let em even see to give them a reason it is what it is and its probably gonna happen.
He and everybody else should be able to enjoy what they work hard for. What have we accomplished as a society, if you can only enjoy the fruits of your labor by hiding out and keeping everything secret? People shouldn't have to live in fear. That is not freedom. If it isn't yours, it isn't yours. PERIOD. If you can't handle that, get a job, and buy your own.

Find the bastard, put a bullet in his head and then hang him from a lightpole with a sign saying "YOU could be next!"

There is no theft in Singapore (there is always some, but it is statistically insignificant). Why? Because if you steal, they sentence you to death. If not death, you at least get your ass beat with the shredded bamboo cane. They either don't have the ability to steal after they are dead, or they don't have the desire after their ass heals.

It seems like a cruel and unnecessary punishment, but you know what? They don't have to punish very often, because in situations like that, people learn from example.

We as a society have stopped holding people accountable for their actions, and have instead resorted to making excuses, or not doing anything at all.

This "criminals have more rights than the victim" shit has to stop.

truer words have never been spoken...jail doesnt scare people...you get caught stealing you get probation or a few weeks in jail...it doesnt strike fear into would be criminals, it would be nice to have punishments like singapore we wouldnt have to worry about much

Jail is just the criminal's schoolhouse. They go there, learn new stuff, make new contacts, and go at it again. Jail just scares the good people away from doing wrong.

i actually feel you on this..not so much on the stealing, but being done with modding. It was fun, and still is somewhat fun, but it only to me attracts unwanted attention, and makes me seem like a punkish kid whereever i go, esp. in chatham.

As time goes on, i won't be able to mod anymore, since i will be entering the business world...and loud mufflers and such things arent acceptable. sometimes you just have to move on, and the kid part phases out.
