UBER short notice... I'm hitting Atco tonight 9/29/05 if anyone cares to join me.

It'll probably be me and 93twodoorLX in my car... I'm going to let him run my car once, since he's a better driver than me If anyone sees this between now and 5ish, come on down! It's like $11 to watch and $13 to race or something like that. Cheap as hell. Get there as early as possible to get some runs in! The bikes and 8 second domestics show up later, and the lines get long (and the races hopeless...)

I'll be there at 5. It's going to rain from 1-3 today, but the forecast says it'll be clear from 4 on.

    Hopin for 14.5!

With my crappy clutch, I may not do any better. Hopefully Sean can go with me... He's definitely a better driver, so if he can do a sub-15 run, at least I know the car is capable of it! Improving a car is expensive. Improving the driver is free

Well, I'm going outside to remove anything I can in the next hour... then I'm on my way. Still no word from Sean, so I might be going alone... I hate that! 30 minutes from Atco and I've never raced there!

My best was a 15.123. My CAR's best (with a better driver... 93twodoorLX) was 15.049

However, I DID beat the living hell out of an RX-8, so that kinda made me feel better

My clutch is absolutely horrible. I drove to the clutch (not letting it slip) and Sean (93twodoorLX) beat on it a bit more... he slipped in 1 and 2, and he said he lost traction in 3 somehow... I dunno... He was sure that he could've done 14s with a good clutch!

So, I now know that my car can at least do 15.049, and that I need to work on my driving skills a little more! Only $13 to race though, so that's pretty kickass... I'll eventually get around to posting timeslips.

Awesome to hear. What's the next power adder for your car? After the clutch.
Hell, my moms house is 5 minutes away, my step father is a domestic guru, and I've never been there. Do they close shop soon for the winter?

You guys always post on each other's names...

I took pics of the slips, let's see if they come out. My scanner is total crap, so it's not even hooked up anymore.

                  Trap speeds for:
                  my best run (15.123) 92.05
                  Sean's best run (15.049) 92.65
                  My run against the RX-8 (15.176) 90.48

                    Temp 65, Humidity 69, Baro 29.15

And here's all the stuff I had in my back seat... It all came out before I went to the track, obviously!

Stuff for sale there: brake pads, shift cables, pt3 ecu, and MAYBE that spoiler (I'd be more interested in a good trade for that, as I do intend to use it eventually!) I probably removed 200lbs of crap from my car, including the seats and spare.

you actually did beat sean's 60' with one of yours. You may just be shifting slightly slower. Your trapping about the same as i did when i was first testing out my turbo tho and you should be able to pull off a 14.3...yes...a 14.3! From my calculations if you can get a 60ft of atleast 2.1 and keep traction the entire way you'll pull of low 14's. Get the clutch situation fixed and some sticky tires and keep practicing your launches. Doing very well so far. Go more often and you'll be very consistant.

Cool. Thanks for the advice Antoine! It's only $13 to race (with a helmet, which I need to get) and now that I've gone there I won't feel as funny doing it again. It was just new, and scary the first time

I'm running on 195/65/15 Kumho HPs that Primo gave me on my EX alloys... lots of tread, long treadlife, and they have the grip of a quadriplegic spider monkey. There are some well worn Dunlops in the rear (one size wider) that may grip better. I think next time I'll move those up front. I miss my Falken Ziex! They're godly compared to the Kumho crap!

Also, anything Sean ran in his car isn't really comparable. He has an F22A1, FULL interior (I was missing all my seats and spare), over half a tank of gas, and nothing but I/H/E in the way of mods. He can pull a 16.3 on better days, but still no comparison on paper. He IS a better driver at the moment though! This was only my second time at the track though, and the first time at Atco (SO different from englishtown!) My reaction times are pathetic...

                          sean - 2.333

I was talking about the 60's in your car. I'll show you some shift fast techniques too.

Oh yeah... mine was better wasn't it!

My shifter is also a little odd... it doesn't want to go into gear very easily. I'm going to try to lube the moving parts... I'm hoping it's not a shifter fork or something in the tranny! I also occasionally get a grind in 3rd (and always in 5th... luckily I never need 5th when racing!)

Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated though! I need all the help I can get!
