Window tinting in NJ

I'm getting the back three windows tinted in my 1993 Accord EX coupe, which is the only legal ones to do in NJ.
I'm thinking of going with 20%, so the car will be cooler. Anyone have any pros or cons for doing so? The shop gave me a price of $135.00, and said most likely they can do the rear window in one peice. Sounded like a good price to me.

I'm just doing tint nothing else as this is just a daily driver with the cost of gas being so high, 30 MPG is easier on the budget than the 14.5 my '02 Ram1500 quad cab 4x2 with 8 foot bed gets.

my sister got her civic tinted all the way around (except windshield of course) for about $10 more so there's probably a better deal around. she went to a shop too.

I got my car windows tinted all the way around except the windshield for $140. They guy has done 4 of my cars and he's the man when it comes to tint. If your not too far from the Bristol-Burlington Bridge I can set you up with him. Let me know.

Dwayne, I'm registered in New Jersey and I drove through there a lot when I had 35% all around (including the whole windshield) and had no problems.

If I were you, I'd get 20% rear 3, and 35% front 2 (at least) because that half tinted stuff looks so tacky IMO.

If you go by the law, it says that you are not suppose to have
ANY tint on the front windows in a car registered in the state of New Jersey.

Listen "bro" we are not window Tinters, nor we have a menu with all the prices.
Rather you should be going to the shops out there, find out the price and then come back to tell us...

$80-120 for the weaksauce dyed films that hack shops install
$125-200 for the metallic/hybrid/non dyed films that quality shops install

Now, use your yellow pages to find local tinters and find out what kinds of film they use.

Good brands: sungard, llumar, 3m, johnson & johnson, solar gard, etc.

Make sure its metallic (more resistant to fading, and greater sun reflectancy)

deev, what the hell are you going to do with 75%? i doubt that would even be noticeable to the human eye. go with 35% or 50% and i don't think they make lighter than that or else it would be a clear film (llumar has a clear film that reflects uv rays).

def go with 20% all around. 90% of the time cops won't bother u. 35% is not dark enough. and if the shop says the back needs to be done in two peices........leave!!!!!!! only do one peice. for reaer three i payed 125. for front 2 i got quoted at 50bucks.

I really just want a hint of bronze color... I don't care to actually have the windows darker. In fact, because of the NJ laws, I don't WANT the windows to be darker! I know our glass already has a blueish-green tint from the factory. Some cars actually have the bronze tinge to it (not ours though) I want it VERY subtle... just enough to highlight my wheels and bronze accents...
