6500 ft?? That's pretty bad. The only thing worse is when I go up snowboarding or something west of Denver on I-70. There is a big long tunnel at the top of a mountain pass called Eisenhower Tunnel - it's at over 11,000 feet! Apparently it's the highest elevation vehicular tunnel in the world. Man, it feels like the car has the e-brake pulled up 1/2 way up there!!!
Turbo cars do a little better, but every car is gasping for air up that high . . .
