See, skaters aren't crazy, randomly popping 360s straight off the ground. Shove-its maybe. lol

The H came today. Looks immaculate... brand new in some areas even. Peeked under the vc, again pretty damn clean. And smelling of synthetic. Tomorrow I'll call HMO for the mileage, compression, etc then get to work replacing seals n stuff and working on the harness. Should be driving again this weekend. Probably no pics of anything for a while, my PC is fried.

Been a while. Thought I'd chime in and say hey. Looks like people have some fun with drama haha the things I missed! Anywho, nothing too knew with the car, been saving my cash for a ring. Hopefully by the end of the year I'll be dropping in a all new boosted F22. That's the goal anyway. Got a have a good woman before I get any more new toys! (new bow, new mountain bike, new pistol and other goodies haha)

The H is pretty much ready to go in, I just need to wire up the MAP sensor, clean the firewall (power steering and AC systems are completely ou of the bay), and remove the F22's rusted-on downpipe. What's really tying me up is that I cracked my intake manifold, so I'm waiting for a replacement to arrive that I bought from TheNextEpisode, a member on here.

Need lousy upper control arms! Literally!

                      Howdy all

I'll likely not be there. Life is in my way ALL the time!!

I started moving shocks and such from my old beater CB onto my "new" 91 SE today. I plan to eventually lower it 1.2" with Eibach pro's. However I don't have the cash for those right now.

So, issue is the totaled 92 HAS to go away soon. (HOA-ish). I want to keep my SPC camber kit off the old car. However I can't use it on the new car until I get the springs.

Another,.. So, I am hunting for IF anyone here might just know of a salvage yard or you pull it (or you) who might sell me all four, bad UPPER control arms CHEAP?? (Bad ball joints, rotten bushings It would ALL be good!)

The car MIGHT get driven a few hundred feet before the truck hauls it off.

Western wants $27 each (which is more the new lousy on E-bay), U-pull it was $24 each.

I'm throwing this car away. It doesn't need good ball joints for that.

Edit : I also plan to do a free for all in my local shopping center with the 92 LX Coupe once I'm done. It has MANY good interior parts, and the engine runs great for 306K miles. Just to throw it out there. Might as well let people take free parts before the haul it off.

Ill be at STM for sure, with a few buddies. Not running anything, possible as a crew member for one of my buddies, but not sure yet. His wastegates are on back-order, and his tuner is STOOPID busy....we'll see. If the 568 it made on the 13psi the old wastegates let it make, hitting his goal of 750 should be no prob at full boost....

Good lookin on the Living Social prices tho!

                        we'll see tho....

I know it snot a CB, but Ive done some sheit to the DB recently.... Got my ITR header/heatsheild/skidplate on finally, installed my CTRs w/full itr valvetrain, removed my butterflies in the mani and got it Neptuned. Made 186.5 uncorrected(Ill try to find a scanner to post the charts soon), still on stock exhaust from the highflow back. Not too shabby for a DD with a lil above avg "grunt", esp considering they only make 170-ish at the crank factory.

Also took the BBS off, have them out at a buddies shop getting blasted/polished. Ill be doing a darker satin bronze with polished lips. Pretty excited. Car looks like a rally car with the factory wheels/tires on it ATM....

                          Sounds vicious!

I got the front struts moved, and my Lower arms with Energy bushings as well. Switched springs on both struts and installed my front strut tower bar.

Turns out my ball joints/ Tie rods are not in such good shape. D/S Lower is really loose, as are both inner TR's. The drivers outer is OK, however the passenger side had clicks, as though the ball and socket were not the same shape. ALSO, the "new" 91's passenger side Control arm was very bent. Sitting at the wheel well you can see it curve toward the rear, the entire length. That made attaching it to the torsion rod on the old car very difficult. (I could only get one bolt in). I also had an extra set of Torsion rod bushings from Energy suspension. So, I installed those as well.

Last month I needed emissions, and had the ALB light on. So, I removed the bulb. However after seeing the crap caked on the sensors. It may have just needed a good cleaning. We'll have to see on that.

Point is, I HAVE crappy control arms, I just didn't realize HOW crappy. I'll buy a new set up. Then move these to the salvage car.

I also accidentally pulled one CV joint apart while installing it. Making the 92 immobile. That axel was the only one of my four that didn't have the ABS sensor ring, but WAS in better shape then the "new" car's.

I thank anyone who may have hunted for old dead control arms (like I did). Thanks anyway!

Next is the rear, I thought I'd have finished already. (just strut switch for now).

Wow, lots going on with everyone. I def wont be able to make it to STM. I'm trying to figure out the vacuum and coolant lines (OBD2 plenum & TB), and playing the guessing game with belts for my H. But at least it's in the car. If I'm lucky it'll run by this weekend, then I still need tires and the exhaust welded.

I'll call you today. I need front and rear, curious which you have.

If you need cash for gas, I could likely throw you some if you decide to come down this way for STM.

I found a near exact match to my car in a U-pull-it a few days ago. I plan to go get the 91 bumper cover off it today to replace the black 92 on my 91. As well as the drivers power mirror. I went and bought new axles last night. Both new with warranties. However my lower ball joints are a touch looser then I'd prefer. So, considering getting those today as well.

A few years ago I discovered Honda front lowers were $28 each at the dealer. Most I see in auto part stores are around $40. I ended up buying online back then. However am thinking I may give those Honda parts a go. If I change them now I shouldn't need to separate those again for years.

Anyone know what size bushings make up the rear sway bar end links??
