When are you planning to perform your swap anyway? Hopefully we're both good to go well before the first Spring meet, eh?

Yeah once I collect all the gasket and some sensors ill be set. I just need to get my talon running and then put my cb in winter mode and take the f bomb out. I plan on just filling the mounts with polyurithane and tucking my wires. I still have to source an h22 tranny so we will see.

Hell yeah, I'll pedal my ass down there! You still at the 475hp in your sig, or was that at 25psi (IIRC you mentioned being at 15 now in your bay tuck thread)?
Which dyno, I assume PFI?Last edited by CyborgGT; 10-18-2010, 04:51 AM.

With seriously built V8s, they emit a sound even at idle that lets you know the slightest flex of the driver's big toe will stomp your ass into last week. Is your car remotely 'dime-a-dozen tuner' sounding any more?
h22cb719, I don't suppose you would know how compatible certain OBD1 H22 parts would be with an H23A VTEC to convert it from OBD2? Namely the P13 (the 23 redlines at just 6500), injectors, and distributor, as well as the water pump and timing/balancer belts. I'm guessing I can get all Prelude OBD1 H22A parts, with the possible exception of a chipped... P28? All this time it's taking me to save up for an engine, I'm rethinking my plans!

I replied to your swap thread man, check it out.
Dood, Im honestly gonna go ahead and suggest you just go with the H22a man..... The extra torque of the H23 isnt worth the extra headache/cost of the H23.....but thats just IMHO.
BTW, no more CB7 for meeeeeh...... it went bye bye on Friday. Long story. kinda bummed'92 h22 CBMRT-->http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=158641

It's not so much the money or torque difference I care about, it would just be cool having an engine that's not quite so much a cookie-cutter CB swap. I don't think you can just slap an H22 head on an H23 block, I read there's an extra oil passage in the 22/23V blocks for the VTEC solenoid or something like that.
... Blown engine bye-bye, or sold bye-bye?Last edited by CyborgGT; 10-19-2010, 09:18 PM.

Doing an H22 head on an H23 is like doing an LSvtec, in big block form. Thats basically what Honda did with the H23a vtec..... You plug one hole on the head, run a feed line to the head fron a sandwich plate or T fitting (latter of which isnt as reliable/efficient), wire your vtec and tune.
No, no way blown motor bye-bye. Got rid of it bye-bye. I wound up picking up a hatch that Ill be doing an F20B to B swap in. Basically the same as an H2B, but cheaper and more rev-happy!
Im working on saving up some coin now. If anyone needs work done on their cars, I charge $30/hr, have lifts and tools/etc, am ASE certified in 5 areas and Honda Certified as of 2007. Only catch is Im in the Springs......
Get at me, or send people my way! Ill post some pics of it in a lil while....'92 h22 CBMRT-->http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=158641

Well on the h23 and h22 blocks are of the same casting. The only difference ous the internals. When you slap on an h22 head on a h23 block the only thing you gotta do is remove the oil plug from the block, add the oil squirters on the bottom, h22 timing belt and water pump and manual tensioner if necessary.
I forgot to mention h22 head gasket and head bolts
