As it stands I'm looking to make my Accord a very thorough, daily-driven project car with mods to performance as well as aesthetics and interior comfort. Being a very practical, economical car that's extremely cheap to own and looks excellent when done up right (I really can't stand how bloated modern cars have gotten, my taste in car styling is mostly back in '60s-'90s Euro/Jap cars), I see no reason why I would ever get rid of it - which would explain my recent leaning back towards keeping the sedan instead of doing a coupe swap: it would make for a better family car. I'm even considering leaving it automatic permanently to keep the comfort level up, and just getting a real sports car with a manual later in life... first-gen NSX (Type R conversion, but except perhaps wheels it would remain 100% Honda OEM) or current Mustang 5.0 (it would be a power beast, built just shy of being really uncomfortable to drive to the store in).
I got an AEM because, as a long-term project car, I want my CB to look prestine by the time I'm done with it, and that includes as clean an engine bay as possible. My setup before was a just short Spectre filter on stock tubing. Worked excellent, but it was simply ugly.Last edited by CyborgGT; 10-06-2010, 02:25 AM.

Cool man, whatever floats yer boat! Call me crazy, but $140 for some stickers is hardly justifiable IMNSHO.... Like I said tho, whatever floats yer boat!

Just collecting parts.
So far I've got:
- Plugs + wires
- 1 of 3 coolant hoses
- thermostat
- dizzy cap + rotor
- intake
- manual timing/balancer tensioners
Still to buy:
- HMO's H22A package
- NEW H22 torque converter (not needed, but I want one)
- DC header (again, not really needed, but I want it for my future ex system... I might even ditch this for now if ESP does a Fall sale with discounted mounts + traction bar package)
- ESP mounts (before swap; I've decided against getting the manual LSD for a future 5spd swap, these cost about the same)
- OEM timing + balancer belts
- water pump
- lower rad hose + heater core-to-water pipe hose
- MP1A TCU (+ automatic trans ECU? I'm looking into whether the manual P13 will actually work with the auto...)
- various seals and gaskets
- oil + OEM ATF + coolant
Things'll pick back up soon, student loans have come back around again, and I've gotta renew the registration on the car.Last edited by CyborgGT; 10-06-2010, 04:46 PM.

Don't those things wear over time just like any other moving part? And doesn't the balance of a tc wear to the engine it's connected to? I emphasized new, as in rather than a used part. I've got my F converter on now, as well as the H22 converter sitting around that came with it. My H tranny is in fantastic condition (at least the fluid's still red since I've installed it, whereas the F tranny's had to be changed as often as oil), so i assume the tc is good, but I know for a fact Advance Auto can get me a new, evenly balanced torque converter.
Ed. - Love The Beast. Eric Bana. Watch it. Greatest movie ever, it just reaffirmed my love for my car.Last edited by CyborgGT; 10-07-2010, 05:11 PM.

I'll be getting ESP mounts in a couple weeks, but without the traction bar they've got discounted. Their sales will come around again. Instead I'm buying a pocket bike off of a friend tomorrow (no need to set aside $100 for Gran Turismo 5 just yet, it's been delayed AGAIN! ). I've got it at home right now, the thing is just insane fun. Only 49cc and about 25-30 mph, but that's just enough for something that small. For now.Last edited by CyborgGT; 10-13-2010, 11:56 PM.
