You can find a H23 in a 92-95 Prelude with a OBD1 system, the OBD2 system change wasn't until 96. It is possible to put a H22 head on the H23 block, but then you have to do all the connections for VTEC. I think

The H23A VTEC was a rare one-off put in JDM Accord AWD and SiR wagons from 1998 to 2002. HMotorsOnline has it, with LSD and basic motor accessories, for about the same cost of a JDM H22A complete changeover with LSD. I figure if I can wire it up OBD1, it'd be cool to have.

Oh, god, I wish I had been able to start saving for a new CB already (trying to get Old School's JDM heads and fogs at the end of the month if he still has 'em, on top of other recent payments). Except for the color, which isn't bad, this is EXACTLY what I've been wanting. EX, coupe, manual, low miles, sunroof, the interior isn't maroon, and the body and paint are in great shape. I'm going down to look at it in the morning.

          SC vs Turbo:

, power's power, period, it's just in my own mind, what's effectively free horsepower just doesn't seem right. And turboes are definitely not without their risks if not done just right. I believe the Jackson kit covers the fuel economy problem some with an internal bypass valve to keep it from going into boost when there's a vacuum in the intake manifold (light load/partial throttle). Less strain on the engine, basically decoupling the charger and eliminating drag.

The coupe was at a Honda parts dealer getting the distributor replaced, I'll have to check back. But I did buy a cylinder leak tester today. Sweet tool, I can diagnose several things at once!

They only want 1900 for it, it's a small used lot. Just a mechanic was there when I went to check out the car, who told me about it being at another shop for the dizzy. I'll take my usual bike ride early tonight and go down there before they close (if not, in the morning before work), hopefully it's on the lot. If it's in good enough running condition maybe I could get the guy to hold it for me until the end of October, and if they'd take payments on something that cheap, I'd be more than willing to pay above asking price if he could.

Steppin's not bad, I like the style of all the tracks, reminds me of some Timo Mass. "All This Time" "Another Late Night" "Break the Silence" are great songs! Although I keep expecting something faster after thoughs hard drops.
