if your running under 10psi you will be fine as long as your tune is conservative (rich) i ran 14psi all day long for 3 years on a bone stock block. stick with the F and get yourself a turbo kit made up.

People can hate all they want, my f22 is faster than yours.

made up? well i am looking at:
Walbro 255lph-$99
Injectors-$280
Wastegate-$238
Intercooler w/pipeing-$180
Ecu w/basemap-$100
Manifold-$80
AND tune @PFI -$70/hr?
So like a grand total of like 980+tuning

I luve my H....completely different bag-o-chips than the F's....
For me, it came down to this:
1) getting sick of having to downshift a couple gears on the highway when someone was in front of me driving too damn slow.....and then gggrrrrraaaaaaaaadually squeaking past them(quicker if it were downhill BTW) in order to get back up to speed limit....
2) getting sick of only bottom end, and the plateu efffect of the f's stock powerband.....some grunt down low, nothing up top (relatively speaking)
3) no vtec....
4) not smashing on unsuspecting civics/tegs/s2k's/etc..... which is the best...to me anyway.
Granted, you could get away with boosting, which I would definately recommend over trying to build an all motor car, especially at this elevation, but its going to cost you more getting that turbo kit peiced together and reliable than it is for you to pick up a longblock and pop it in....
Basically, its all relative, but I couldnt imagine my accord any other way than H powered....true stories....lol
On another note, FINALLY got a new hood Pics to follow soon!
I actually like the hood you've had on there, it doesn't conflict with the car's body lines much at all imo. Is there actually a scoop down in front, or is it just a shape? I'd imagine a hole there could provide some nice Elise-style aero and downforce on the front wheels, possibly killing some of that understeer.

id do a compression test on it. Ecu's and Injectors can be had for less than 100 bucks!

yeah and a leakdown test if all passes 800 bucks is a hella deal also make sure theperson that rebuilt it knew what they were doing and why they want to sell a fresh rebuilt h22 for only 800 bones

Meh, never been my style.... Im an OE kinda guy, personally....
and ya, its vented. doesnt do anything though....lol
Test the fack out of that motor, and get it if it's good!
I usually hate aftermarket shaped body panels too - I will never touch a full on body kit - but there's a CB on here with an Evo-style hood that I think gives the darker colored Accords a nice, aggressive look. Depending on what color I eventually decide on, I'm really considering getting a Vader (silver) or Evo (black or dark blue) hood, as a spare to stick on every now and then. Carbon OEM most of the time for sure, but I do like those two in moderation.
Ed. - just ordered my red/clears from octanemotorsports.com. I can hardly wait.
