On a side note. I got recognition of my ride today from a random dude.
My buddy Phil races a small block S-10 and he's been having fuel problems. Today he was working on it and I stepped across the street from the apartment I was working in to see how it was going. While we're bullshitting and looking it over, a guy rolls up on a Suzuki GSX-R, picks up a chick from her apartment, and then stops to talk to Phil (he's apparently stopped and talked to Phil a few times about his truck), tells him he should switch from the 110 fuel pump he's running to a 255 GPH pump. He says that's what he ran on his small block S-10 and it's what he runs on his Honda.
Phil tells him that I've got a pretty nice little Honda I'm building and the guy says he's got a GS-R swap in a Civic. I tell him I'm building a CB7 coupe and he asks: "Is it that gold one up the street?" There is a ROUGH gold coupe in the complex, so I look at him and, laughing, say "You mean that bumperless jacked up rusted out piece of shit down the street? Hell no!" and he replies "No, that dark gold one over on the corner, at the houses. It looks pretty decent."
"Yeah, that's mine."
How cool did I feel? There was no reason at all for this guy to think that would be my Honda, but she was nice enough that she caught his attention.Comment
