I deleted my "thoughts" thread as there are many misunderstandings regarding what I was trying to express. I apologize for offending anyone, it was not my intent. My intent is to motivate this Midwest region to represent the area. It is all about the attitude, the enthusiasm and the unity. I hope this entire area can unite and help one another out to represent this area with some force.

I'm sorry, I just feel as if we don't have much going on around here, as if things are dead. I feel like we need to all get together and liven things up. Maybe we can do this one car at a time, help people accomplish their project goals. It'd be nice to see some more diversity in this area, not the typical.

I realize that it is a large region, more so than others and I never said it would be easy. However, we could maybe break it down to Kansas/Missouri, etc. and then IL/MI/OH/IN and occasionally meet up for large midwest meet. The whole intent is to make a movement to get to this point, instead of doing nothing. Rather than making excuses, we need to take action.

To clarify again, my intent of bringing up the Florida, California crew comparisons, was not that I want out cars to be like theirs (as they have the no rust factor), but the attitude of the club. I don't do it justice trying to explain, but EVERYONE has this intense enthusiasm and is always pushing forth to represent their area. It's the attitude that I'm talking about, they also network amongst one another to make things more affordable, they help one another out trading parts, etc. Yes I know people have situations, bills, etc....so does just about everyone else on this forum, but we can do things to help our whole crew out. We can all try to network with people and organizations we deal with to cut deals to the whole crew, we can help one another with parts, we can help one another working on projects/expanding one another's knowledge, etc.

Maybe I'm crazy to think that such a thing could happen, maybe my expectations are too high. It's just a vision, if people are not willing to make it happen on a larger scale, then I'll resort to making it happen on a smaller one.
