Gateway raceway in St. Louis would be the best bet. Its huge, 1.6 mile oval track, and a quarter mile track and a road course. Its the largest track around pretty much, and It seems to be the most centralized of all the locations based on where everyone lives.

This is what I want to do with my white accord project, occassionally. I don't want to get super competitive, but learn how to push my car properly. I don't want to get too competitive to the point of crashing it, I just couldn't bear to see that happen after all the work and money.

NAiL, thought you were in TX I'll be haeding to Columbia so STL will be like a 2 hour drive for me as well. I just have one question: How are we, a bunch of 16-25 yr old Honda Kids gonna get inside the track? i mean can you just call and reserve the whole track? Doesnt it cost like a Million dollars to rent a race track out for a day? Someone fill me in, eh?

I am in Carbondale, IL attending SIU. But in Oklahoma it cost like 1500 or so if I remember (need to recheck) for 10 cars for a whole day. And like 100 or so per extra car. But there website should have details. I want to take my car on an actual road course instead of autocrossing it lol.

Alright! So who's up for dishing out a C-note to hang out at a race track?! Anyone? Me too! I honestly liked that meet we had last year in June. We had a big empty parking lot and then we all hit up Sonic. I thought it was cool. I like the idea of doing a road course thing, but i thought we were hangin out..i didnt think we were race testing...

I dont want to rent out a track for the whole day. 1 your waisting gas, 2 wasting tires, 3 putting more miles on your car. An hour or 2 is good for us. But we dont want to do it for a whole damn day.

                      Sorry thats just my opinion.

June 29th and August 3rd Gateway has a thing called midnight madness. Racing starts at 9pm and goes until 3am, its not too expensive either...20 bucks per car, however 18 and under needs a parental release to run.

Those dates are on friday nights, but they also have nightly runs for 15 bucks on nights that there is no event going on, and these take place earlier...starting at about 5:30.

June 29th and August 3rd are fridays though, so everyone would have to leave and get here by 9pm, which can be done.

I vote for Gateway/St. Louis, MO/IL... I mentioned it to my parents and they told me either St. Louis, or Des Moines, IA. I am definatly interested. Just have to save up some moo lah for; the fees to run the car at the track, gas money, emergency money, hotel, and food/beer. Later

Cisco can come to the meet in cleveland. If it's road coursing he wants, Nelson Ledges is good for that. Plus, Cleveland can't get much closer to Michigan without being in it.
