What all does the job consist of?
It's basically washing, buffing, waxing, etc. Interiors are are easy. Vacuum, shampoo, etc. There's a lot more to it, but I'm too tired to go into detail (no pun intended ). We can talk at the meet if you're still curious.

Oil... Really?!?
So I am doing my routine maintenance work on my car and guess what i find down by my spark plugs!? OILLL... Thing is I've replaced my Valve Cover Gasket WITH Silicone in all of the crease's where oil might sneak by the gasket... Twice! Could there be another issue I am not aware of?
Is there a higher quality Valve Cover Gasket I should be looking for?

Nate & Scott just finished doing this job and commented on it earlier in this thread.
Parts are cheap, but labor could be expensive if you have a shop do it. Perfect job to try and do yourself (if you can), to save significantly.
Valve cover gasket set ~ $25
4 lower rocker arm O-rings ~ $8
You should not have to silicone the valve cover gasket and do not on the O-rings either.
Valve cover acorn nuts 9 lb-ft
spark plugs 13 lb-ft
rocker arm (larger diameter screws) 16 lb-ft
rocker arm (smaller diameter screws) 9 lb-ftLast edited by HondaFan81; 04-21-2010, 10:23 AM.

Cuz he has a job, unlike some of us.......*cough* ME! lol
and is able to pay for sweet shit
Yeah, I may work a LOT and buy all this shizzit, but sometimes I get a little irresponsible while spending and end up effing myself financially. Long story short, I went crazy buying all my new goodiez and then I got hit with some hospital bills and such because my insurance company wants to F**K me over. I paid most of them, but it pushed me back a little. Now a couple people are going to have to wait a little longer before I can pay the debts I owe them.
No worries though, I'm just working EVEN MORE overtime in order to catch back up.

He is looking around at local junkyards, but can not find anything for now.
If you have one, PM me and make some cash.
Check this out though. I bought my tranny from them. $150 + About $120 for shipping.

I forwarded the link to my coworker Kevin, thanks.
No offense Kevin, but that's what I was trying to imply. To keep the expenses on the DL, because you never know what can pop up with your project as I dig further into it. I would think the priority is to get it safe and reliable first, then performance and appears mods. It's not like this car was mechanically mint to begin with. Nor did it seem like it was maintained mechanically.
Anyhow, looking forward to the meet. Hope we can unveil Kevin's project then, but please forgive me if I can't make the deadline.Last edited by HondaFan81; 04-21-2010, 04:11 PM.
