Heading to Washington DC.. weather updates?

Ok, so my girlfriend and I plan on heading to DC tonight on the Red Eye. Planes seem to be on time, but weather says there's a severe weather storm coming this weekend. We are planning to just head to the East Coast just to sight see and relax. Would it be worth our time to go? Just wanna know if the weather channel is really true. I got 5 hours to decide! lol let me know. thanx

Haha, this is very true.

They're calling for up to two feet of snow over here, though. It won't be a good weekend to visit, unless you're down for just LOOKING at stuff covered in snow. I'm pretty sure many places will be closed, as the roads are going to be a disaster.

I'd hold up on it man. Supposed to see 18-24" between 10 am and 10 pm tomorrow. The entire area is supposed to be shut down. We got called off from work yesterday because of it.
