True Florin haha, hopefully it's different we got some new members around town that I'm trying really hard to reach out to and getting anyone in the area. 2 people may be coming from Montreal area and one maybe from NJ but I doubt it for him.
Good news on High Park, called them up and found out: there are 18 picnic sites there and we don't need a permit if we have more then 25 people which is highly unlikely. Some are just benches with garbage cans and some are nice covered areas. 7 washrooms are in the park. You can BBQ there but no charcoal BBQ's are allowed. There is also a full restarant in the park if needed. Parking is FREE. It's actually 399 acres which I find really hard to believe.
The park is located between Bloor Street and The Queensway and is bordered by Parkside Drive on the east. The main entrance is from Bloor Street - turn south at High Park Avenue. The other car entrance is from Parkside Drive: turn west onto High Park Blvd. The south entrance from The Queensway doesn't get you too far into the park. You can drive up to Colborne Lodge and the children's picnic area where the road loops around and leads you back out of the park. If you want to drive deeper into the park use the Bloor St. or Parkside Dr. entrances.
Looked at the pictures of the park from today and the Sakura is almost ready to bloom, it will bloom very soon. Perfect timing hopefully.
Bluffer's Park, Google it and it's the first thing you'll see. Anyways it's right on the lake in Scarborough at the bottom of Brimley past the 401 and past Highway 2, at the bottom. It's a large park and very nice open area, big cliffs there too.
But yeah High Park is confirmed good if you guys still want to go there, or if you guys are feeling Bluffers now. Remember in High Park we can have a dedicated covered area for our BBQ not in parking lot OG style haha.
Picnic area number I have to call them again to see what is best for the blossoms. We will need to arrive before 10AM if we are going there because it fills up quick when it's in a full blossom. Then we can chill in the park and BBQ whenever and chill and pics, and just hang brostyle.
Here is a full detailed PDF map of the park made by the government.

P.S. AJ you know that H22A Accord I was looking at? Someone bought it and they are coming for sure they said. Thank god I didn't buy it, he's on the virge of selling it. So many problems, main relay, low idle then engine stalls, fuel problem is problem due to loose solders in the relay. It works sometimes for the new owner and he is DD'ing (a brave one there lmao).Last edited by CB7Nub; 04-26-2011, 01:43 AM.Current:

Yeah so I called up the city today. There are no picnic area with close range of the trees. I will try to arrive earlier and grab a spot for everyone. We will need to arrive by 10AM if you want a parking spot, it's one of the busiest times of the year there. We can bring any propane/gas barbecue.
I also updated the information post, no more Humber then. Straight to High Park then after cruise to STC if needed. I'd prefer a nice cruise with you guys around town to be honest.
Here are some questions I have:
1) My barbecue will not fit in my car, does anyone have a small one we can use?
2) I could bring some chicken or something, burgers, or hot dogs or sausages. What are you guys feeling more towards? Also it would be great if some of us brought some more meat so we could all have different types of food! Also if your bring burgers or something, try to get buns too so we don't get big huge burgers with little tiny buns lol.
3) Parking, we will need to arrive at least by 10AM if you want parking easy, unless you will have to have wait around 10 minutes on average to get a spot. I will try to park first in a area in the back or somewhere where we can all line up. I will try to reserve the spots but I doubt they would let me do that. There is also many parking spots there. I am not sure what sure is available. Remember parking is FREE. The two main parking lots are by the restaurant atop Hillside Gardens and by the zoo but parking spaces are available alongside the roads as well. Whatever is available where we could all line up I'll try to grab first since I would be coming there a bit earlier to reserve it if possible. If you are having trouble finding where we are please text or call me @ 905-429-9275. So we can all be in one spot.
That's all for now, get your shine on!Last edited by CB7Nub; 04-28-2011, 10:31 PM.Current:
