Swap and E-test question

I was told today that in ontario that if you swap a motor into your car that was never sold in the car stock you can be exempt from e-testing under some hot rod law or something

Anybody know anything about this?.....Im too lazy to google it right now....but I figure if someone else has heard of this maybe they can confirm if its true or false

Not exempt, just a different set of rules.

Mind you that was a few years ago, when I still had the garage, so I dont know if anythings changed since then

I figured it wasnt quite as cut and dry as being exempt if your swapped....Thanks man

I swapped my engine and never told anyone, and no one asked. I've registered the car several times and everytime I say its an Accord motor, which is technically true.

As long as emissions passes or you are registered in an area where emissions are not required, you are okay.

getting a new CB James? I might be selling mine, there is a pretty nasty bump on the rear left quarter.

Nope....i bought a 98 civic hatch today.....it needs some work.....but nothing overly major.....plus im in no rush to get it on the road

And ya I saw that in your mr thread....that fucking sucks man......but i do belive youve been talking about getting a clean chassis from the states so i guess nows the time

Nevermind.....I made the deal with the chick selling the car for 800....then she recieved a better offer so she sold it from under me......Even though she guaranteed the car to me

but whatever....It was a 98 civic dx....black.....needed body work and it had a misfire on cylinder 2....but i coulda brought her back to life for the price of some bondo and a tune up....Not gonna lie...im pretty pissed

It is true kind of its just high limmits I have my emissions certificate I have ran a few cars that way but James when you need your e test just call me ill hook you up
