NOPI Southeast Show

Anyone else plan on attending on Jul 10-11th? I will be showing.. thought maybe I could meet some fellow knuckleheads and such.

I'll be going down with a crew of about 20 rides... NOPI is suggesting that this show will become larger than the ATL show. Especially because of the drag strip.. it's the nicest in the country, or so they say. It is pretty nice though. You can show you car and watch all the 7-9 sec cars run all day long.. Not to mention all the cornbread fed honnies we have down here..

Wheres it at this year? Went last year and it was pretty good, but its not worth driving more than 3+ hours...

Bristol Dragway. They say they'll never have it in Sevierville again cause of all the problems. So Bristol was the next best arena.

well...i have to work saturday from 11-4, which means i miss the best part of the day, and going after 4 kinda seems like a waste of $25...i dunno...needless to say, i'm pissed.

it's gonna be hella hot too. i'm not sure if i'm going to make it either.

wtf do they have to charge so much for general admission? I think 10 bucks is enough to get into a show.. they'd have a bigger turn out in my opinion.. but i guess it's all about the dollar, as it always is.

I also dont think Im going to make it to this one, but me and some buddies are def. going to the Nats. in September.

Well, i called work, and lied my ass off...so i'm going to nopi tomorrow. I'll get some pics and maybe meet akrodha if he goes, but i dont think he is. Its gonna be hot as hell, but oh well. I'll let ya know how it goes.

Hey all. I went to NOPI. I won 1st place with Best European Model: Other. I'm sunburnt as hell, blisters and all. I looked around but only found 3 CB7's in the show. One was owned by a woman and it was just nasty/riced. There was a white two door that was nice and a blue one.

The show was good, excellent turnout, over 1k cars.

I was the silver BMW parked next to the only NSX in the show. I was there with Doug, the owner of FTR in JC. He owns one nice red NSX with a mild body kit. He didn't win anything though, which was kinda cheese. They classified him with Prelude's, which he didn't think was fair.

I think it was about 100 at the track. Freakin' fast ass cars there too. A celica broke the 200mph mark but lost to a 198 run by a Toyota Solara. I got several pictures that I'll post up once I get a good host site.

Yeah I saw your car, but i have no clue what you look like so i didnt meet ya. Oh well, and yes sunburn hurtin me also. I saw about 5 cb7s though, 3 were all next to each other. Anyway, it was good time. Jello wrestling didnt live up to my expectations however
