    cb7 vs. 98 S-10

    so i was coming home from the wife's house ( we don't live together yet; long story) and i pull up next to a 98 chevy s-10 lowered with a big ricer aluminum wing and altezza taillights. he pulls up next to me at a stop light and gave me a wave so i load up the tourque converter and wait for the light to turn green. light turns green and i pull way far ahead of him and stay ahead. he never got close to catching me. i think it was a 4 cyl. model. not sure.

        could be the i think the 2.6 v6 too. but notherless good kill man.

        they weigh the same as our cars and the 4cyl is the same size but why oh why do we beat them?

            o the extreme and most newer models have a 4.3 V6 and the extremes have a vortec 4.3 they can be quick my buddy hangs with my H22 with his 4.3 vortec until i hit vtec in 3rd then i walk away ... usually on an average run he will be about 1 to 2 cars behind me from a dig when we shut down

                      Most of the s10 xtremes I've seen were 4cyl. I guess GM figures that you don't need a v6 if you're not hauling anything.

                        umm, what? s-10's are nowhere near as light at our cars. they weigh roughly 3300-3400 lbs. plus they're not built for speed at all. and they have sucky gearing stock. my s10 had a 3.08 rear end in it..aka..2500 rpm at 80mph.

                        all newer s-10s and blazers have the vortec motor. it's just the iron vortec heads, nothing special.
                        also, they're slow as balls. if you can't pull away a hell of a lot faster than that...something's wrong with your driving..

                            I smoked a 4 banger s10 stock vs stock before, its great, and entertaining.
