Went to the track tonight....times given

1st Run: Note: I slowed down at the finish line because I'm stupid. This would have been my best time, but I fucked it up...anyway nothing too impressive, but here they are.

    1st Run: Raced alone
    Reaction: .655
    I1: 2.446
    I2: (not given)
    I3: 10.144
    MPH (I3): 71.531

    E.T: 15.782
    MPH: 77.969
as you can see with the trap at 77mph I slowed down before the finish

    2nd Run: Beat a Nissan SE-R Spec V he ran 16.168 at 86.144 MPH
    Reaction: .693
    I1: 2.468
    I2: 6.996
    I3: 10.159
    MPH (I3): 69.900

    E.T: 15.582
    MPH: 91.805

3rd Run: Actually had the pleasure of racing another h22 cb7 Beat him too, but it was close, his E.T was 15.710 at 88.720 MPH

Reaction: was terrible for both of us because the lights were messed up 1.067
    I1: 2.447
    I2: 6.909
    I3: 10.025
    MPH (I3): 70.441

    E.T: 15.400
    MPH: 92.850

It was a fun night, it was the first time racing with the ITR's and they were much better than my 17" Motegi's that I had on. I know these arent great times, best run last year was 15.1. My car is pretty heavy though with all the audio and custom enclosure in the trunk, but they will improve. It was my first time out this year, good times, great day too the Senators are going to the Stanley Cup finals

What transmission do you have? Those are sad traps. But you need serious work on your 60'ers.

        Learn to feather the clutch.

            yea, that's your I1 time.

            It's your 60 foot time.

That rpm sounds a bit too low, I'd try to get closer to 4k. You will most likely just spin if you don't know how to feather the clutch tho.

Well I guess I have to practice that, but I dont really understand because with my ecu set at 3500 I just let go of the clutch at wot, but you are saying to do it differently? How do feather the clutch? Off the line when the light turns green I just let go of the clutch, but I would like to know how to feather it if it will improve my times

If all you're doing is dropping the clutch, then you're doing it completely wrong.

feathering the clutch is when you dont drop it right off the line. You keep just enough pressure on it so that it engages enough to where your tires don't spin out of control.

The pressure will always be different.(sometimes you have to press the clutch more sometimes less)

It takes some practice but you'll get it down eventually.

Alright thanks man I will try that. I know that with my smaller itr's on and with the tires being better than from what I had on last year, I have a lot less wheel hop and way more traction, I can really tell the difference, but for sure it takes practices and I know I can hit high 14's, especially if I remove all the weight of the system and of course with a better launch

the majority of f22's run anywhere from low 16's to 17 seconds. Very few have broken into the 15's.

15's are still slow for an h22.

i ran 15.2 with my slightly tuned f22b dohc with i/h/e

Low 15's is the norm for an h22 Accord, sometimes high 14's, but from what I've seen and heard low 15's is about right. Sure I could drop that time easily into the 14's with some weight reduction and some slicks, but it also depends on the track too, and I know the track I run on isent the best one out there so I'm satisfied with low 15's here.
