If I wasnt 70% deaf I would be an awsome salesman because once I learn something about cars it sticks. and i love learning about cars. I think if I ever lose my current job and apply for disability I am going to do car work on the side under the table

I hear ya there, 50% deaf here I guess you could call it (complete hearing loss in the left ear).
What % do you have to be for disability?

I have no idea but my father is 79% deaf and claims disability on it. My argument is that my hearing has kept me from doing anything that I wanted to do in life. I am permently disqualified from the military due to hearing, I cant get into law enforcment, I cant become a firefighter, doctor, lawyer, i cant even become low level management anywhere. the place I am working now is already trying to find a way to fire me because they dont like having to repeat themselves. but the one thing I can do is work on my car I dont really want to do it as a job because it will never take me anywhere but i wouldnt mind doing it as my own boss.

It sucks man, I'm in the same boat as you But what can ya do? Nothing at all Sucks about your job though. When I told possible places of employment about my hearing loss I wound up not getting called back... coincidence? So I just get hired THEN tell them, and then they cant do anything hahaha
