    Crazy Night DwnhillCB7 vs. soarer/ae86

Disclaimer: Do not attempt at home!!!!! Be responsible for yourself, to others, and to nature!!!!!!!Before you guarantee safety for yourself guarantee it for others, if you can't guarantee it for others you probably won't be able to do it for yourself.

WOW last night was amazing, I got home at like 4:47 in the morning after a night of battles. Was gonna post what happened when I got back but was too tired anyways I got into three battles two downhill, one uphill. As I was out late night sat as usual hitting up track. I came up to one of my usual touge spots, well sure enough I see some homies at the bottom and I'm like YES! its crackin so I go up to the top after seeing a porsche gt3/sil80 and several other hooked up cars coming down the track.I'm all most at the top when I see some foo in an nissan altima(which I later found out was brand new less than 6 mths off dealer floor) rammed into the side of a mountain, apparently he was going uphill and lost control. He was probably being stupid while driving because he had passengers and he was trying to show off, next thing you know totaled front end altima.

So anyways I get to the top and meet up with some chill heads, met some homie with a soarer who was way coo, anyways we end up getting into a run with him leading, me following, please do bare in mind that this is at the top of a track(probably 5-6000 ft elevation), that has extremely narrow lanes, gravel on many turns [Disclaimer]. So we start off he had a two car lead in front of me and it was great I was on his a$$ the whole way down, and was gonna over take him twice but decided just to have fun and follow. Anyways the best part is just having my CB7 go sideways and hearing the tires screech while I smash out of a turn, , so we almost get to the bottom when we run into a nicely hooked up intergra 91 gen, and an ek hatchback, that has MEAN vtec. so we slow down and line up at the bottom for a 4 way uphill battle, which suck for me since I have no engine mods/no vtec and am almost as heavy as the soarer. So on the uphill the hatch and integ blew me and the soarer out of the water. But I was last in the line up, the soarer pulled on me hard uphill since I was going in 3rd gear part way up. Then once I saw how the hatch and integ were literally gone and I was barely able to keep up with the soarer I downshift into 2nd to try and kept up with the soarers tailight streak(since thats the only thing you can see at night) but he beat me by 4-5 car lengths. Had I used 2 gear all the way up it would have been shorter, but im not an uphill guy, would need more hp.

I was gonna get into another run when some foo in a ae86 comes smashing up the hill yelling "they set the fucking altima on fire" and I'm like WTF!DUMBASSES. sidenote: (Well turns out the guy who had the altima apparently didn't have insurance and was still making payments on the car so anyways they were gonna report the car "stolen" and since they stripped the car for parts they decided it best to burn up the evidence as well. HOW STUIPID!!!! Not only are they irresponsible, but setting fire to a car in the F*CKING FOREST dumbass could have started forest fire, have some D@mn respect for nature if your not gonna have any for yourself!!! sry this gets me really angry since now since that happened the spot is literally burnt, cops are gonna come around there more often now, and they give 5.0 more of an excuse to search touge, and harass those who are responsible but fit "import stereotype". Sucks to AAA was hauling a$$ up the track to put out fire and tow the car back and I know he saw a bunch of cars smashing down the hill, as I was one of them.)

So back to the story everyone runs in their cars and there are two routes,1. Smash down the main track with the flaming altima, the fastest route out of there, but possibility of piggy encounter, or 2. the long way out 12 miles of unused road that is literally running on top of a mountain (no downhill or uphill just hard banking turns on mountain with no guardrails or divider line, ) most of the cars choose route two but I was like f@ck it, as the same hachi that came to warn us smashed the same way back. So anyways I go with route 1 since less cars were taking it and if I was fast enough I could get out of there with enough time to avoid problems. So I smash down route(65 avg mph) 1 literally passing within feet of this burning car with flames that were at least 10-15 ft tall. It was crazy the car was so hot from the burning that even though I had my windows closed and had to pass within feet of the burning altima(in the left lane) I could feel the intense heat on my face. So I pass the burnt rubble and I over take this civic going slow downhill, but that was only because he had passengers, then run into an s2000. Well yet another slow a$$ driver as I'm like dood why are these people cruising(30-35mph) down the mountain when fiveO are probably gonna be there in 10 mins, so I overtake the s2000 which scared the piss out of him cus he tried to keep up but I was like speedy gonzalez, gone in a flash, so he couldn't keep up. Next thing I know I run into a truck and supra (85-89 gen?) that had smashed before me down route 1, so I'm like f$ck overtake?? I was gonna overtake then I saw the AAA truck going uphill, so I decided not to and by that time I was already at the base of route 1.

At this time the truck/supra had stopped and I was like should I follow them and go right on the interchange that connects to route 1 or go left going back the way I came. No brainer go back the way I came as less cars seem to be going that way, so I'm smashing back on the interchange and I see the black/white hatch that warned us then smashed down the hill so I follow him and he starts smashing but not to much maybe like 50-60 mph, thats fast for canyon's. So I start tailing him and he starts going faster, by this time we are back on the main route going towards civilization, which is still 15 miles of canyons . So this guy was going fairly slow and I was like ok... im gonna overtake him since I emergency lighted him and he started smashing but wasn't fast enough, so like I try and overtake him a couple times and he literally blocked the line, both the left and right lanes, both inside and out, like 3 or 4 times, so I'm like what an A-hole this guy is going to slow (50-60 mph) so I bust out my secret technique ;p.

Since my car is black its hard to see at night, so like I tailed this guys car with maybe about a foot of space between his rear and my front for 2 min straight. So I applied alot of rear pressure, since this guy wouldn't push it and blocked all my attempts to pass. So I waited for the optimum time where no cars where coming in the opposite lane and I had ample time to pass then I turn off my headlights (disclaimer!!!) and bamn I'm gone, so I downshift to second and start pulling next to him in left lane. At this point I started laughing so hard as apparently I has freaked him out, cus I saw his head turning back and forth, left and right a bunch, and I actually saw him mouth "were the F@ck is he?!" by the time he finally saw me I was already half a car length in front of him and I took the inside line on a sharp left hand turn, from the left then back out to the right lane I smashed through the next immediate right hand turn, smash a bit and I finally turned on my lights and slowed down (from about 75 to 30) a grip for him to catch up. By that time I also put on my emergency light, he finally saw me and he was pissed, that he got overtaken. All I heard was revving and him hauling A$$ for me so then the real race started as I led and was hitting 90-100 mph on high speed sectors and we smashed through the second half of the track, he was keeping up with me and hard tailing my bumper. But I kept a 2-4 car length distance between us until we finally got back to civilization afterwards while cruising back to the freeway we talked a bit and he was like "good run, sorry I didn't go faster at first but I don't like that track" it was good to hear that I pushed a heavily modified car, with my almost stock CB7(only carbonfiber hood installed) . All in all it was a good night meet some cool heads, ran some fast cars gained some experience, here's to the next time!!!!! Next time I'm gonna try and record my dwnhill run and post it so you guys can see!

I guess you fixed the story... I had no trouble following it!

touge sounds so fun, and watching Initial D definitely makes it look fun... but I couldn't imagine pushing my car like that!

If you can, you should set up some sort of video camera mount, and film a run. I want to see what amateur touge in a CB7 looks like from the driver's seat!

Interesting story. I togue all the time. I can't manage to get my car sideways though. To tell you the truth you'd have to have a bomb ass suspension setup and be a bomb ass driver. Even then, our ff cars don't really like that motion. How do you drift?

                        ...adjust accordingly

Yo linx I usually ebrake drift/power slide(or weight transition slide aka ass slide), however I prefer grip lines cus there is a very thin line between drift/slide and spinning out, especially when you have the cb7 sideways as the rear tends to want to over take and the rev control/countersteer action isn't something that can always stop the car from spinning out, however spinning out in a cb7 is really fun, I actually get a thrill in forcing my car to spin out,;p.
