messed with a 98 2.3cl

not really a race, but we were messing around on the highway. i just had my exhaust done on my 91 accord lx, so i wanted to test it out on the highway. it's my friends 98 2.3cl and we're both auto's. started off just cruising next to each other, and each of us taking turns giving it a little throttle and pulling a bit. the 2.3cl didnt seem to pull too hard while i was cruising at 65, considering it's a lighter car with more power. i pulled pretty hard on it though. i'm going to ask to race next time we're cruising like that. what do you guys think? i think the 2.3cl has like 150-160hp

i would actually say its heavier. it has "more luxury" im guessing.

yeah some guy in one of those wanted to mess with me once, wasn't quite a race since we didn't go at the same time, I kinda pulled a bit at the light and then he saw my car and wanted to run after I slowed down, so THEN I went and he had started to slow down again so he got on it as I passed him and well I left him waaaaaay behind. Actually pulled over at the gas station to give me props.

As R33 said. 2.3 liter SOHC F23. 150HP. They also have taller gearing.

The first gen 2.2/2.3CL probably weighs right around 3100-3200 lbs based on the equipment it carries.

Your CB weighs around 2800LBS. Even if the CL is only 3000 lbs, your car is still lighter.

Honestly, a bolt on Accord that is running correctly shouldn't have much trouble with a stock CL, although a header would help your cause quite a bit.
