........o.k so check it........theres this guy that i call jersey....he's a b20tec member and my co-worker at that..........he has a 92 or 93 civic hatch black and blackout taillights.......so after work we was heading down this strip called 150 cargo road in JFK AIRPORT.............we are playing catch up when i pass him than i slow down when he decides to pass me on this wide turn......when all i heard was his tires skidding...(i was like what the f*ck i guess his car ain't MOD).......and when he pass me he lost control of his civic....(he was pressing the brakes)....and the civic began to spin around and slidding towards on coming traffic which there was a 18 wheeler coming his way ...(the driver also press'd the brake)....the civic did a 180........AS IT WAS SPINNING AROUND I NOTICE THAT HIS TIRES ON THE DRIVER SIDE....(front and rear)...WENT UP IN THE AIR........this dude almost wrap'd his sh*t rolled it over and almost lose his life and all he can do is smile about it and spin his car around mine and take off..........THIS IS THE REASON WHY I DON'T RACE ANY B20 MEMBERS OR ANYBODY WITH A CIVIC......THERE CRAZY WITH THERE ALMOST DYING DRIVING

I've had a few races where I pulled ahead and found myself entering a corner a bit too fast. Never to the point of losing control, but enough to scare me. If I don't KNOW that my car will respond as I tell it to, I get a little nervous. I raced a heavily modified Civic (at least superficially... nice paint, cf hood, dropped... some asian kid in richville) from a stoplight... ahead of us was a crazy winding road. I skidded a little around those curves (my tires were total crap at the time). I kicked myself after, but I won! I bet he was faster than me, but smart enough to realize that I was pushing a little too hard...

Just last week I took out a GTI. Looked in my rearview to see if he was still trying, or if he quit early... a curve snuck up on me, and I did that embarassing little panicky thing where you tap the brake and overcorrect the steering... He probably laughed as my ass end bounced around!


Regardless, what that ass did in your story is what I was deathly afraid of doing when I crashed the DX. I could've stopped just like he did after a 180, but I would've been in danger of getting hit. I'd rather get off the road, even if it means rearending a wall!
