Killed a civic si on spray

So i ran at the track the other night for the FIRST TIME EVER. in fact ive never raced before that at all so im a newbe to all that and i ran some pretty shitty times. And of course the word got out that the turbo accord was slow so ppl started wanting to beat the slow turbo car. So this civic has been talking trash about my car since before i turbo'd and i would never race him and last night my bf took my car out and the civic chased him down and mike handed the dude his ass no once but twice by car lenghts and he was spraying HAHA! i was so proud of my car i know i wasnt driving which just shows that i need more practice. So back to the track i go this weekend so see if i can learn a little more.

my best time was a 10.5 in the 1/8 mile
my r/t was a .6
60ft - 2.6

i know it sucks it needs some tunning and a better driver and better tires.

the civic said "said" he ran a 8.6 at the track i didnt see him do it tho so i cant say if hes telling the truth or not.

dont be ashamed of your times...it was your first time..your not used to track conditions and how to launch and etc..with practice youll get it...good kill..technically speaking lol...your cars hot btw

Thanks ill get there one day and i always have the excuse hey im a girl. LOL but for a girl and all my reaction time was way better my first run was a 1.6 i didnt have a clue what light i was supposed to leave on so the 2nd time i did it i got a .6 what a difference. I was just proud i didnt stall or red light.

anyways, just practice launching in your drive way, or in a street where its not highly populated with cars or people.

learn how to shift. you dont have to be going fast to do this either. just shift really quick between gears. it helps shave about a tenth off your time.

...and don't press your clutch in all the way when you go to shift, don't do it too offten since your clutch might not like it so well.

Every time I shift my foot clutch foot goes to the floor... hell in every car I drive my foot goes to the floor unless the clutch disengages halfway down or something.

And whats wrong with nitrous? Cheap, easy power adder hench why both my cars have nitrous.
