    me vs. 3rd gen prelude

Today I raced a 3rd gen prelude, you know the ones with the flip headlights. Anyway, its a buddy of mines, hes got a jdm h22w/lsd in it, exhuast, msd blastercoil and a stage 3 clutch, other than that its stock. Compared to my mods I thought it take him no problem, this proved to be more difficult that I thought since his car is quite a few hundred pounds lighter than mine.

First we started from a dead stop, all the way through first and second we were dead even, at third I started to pull on him a little, then we had to stop I was like what the fck? we did this a few more times same thing.

Then we got on the highway for 55mph throwdown. I threw it into second! and I this time I smoked him all the way to 110 he couldn't catch me (about 3 cars back).

One more time from a dead stop.. We both tached up to about 4k and waited for green. First gear to 7800- were even. Second gear to 7800 im pullin a fender. Third- Im up a car!

I think i wasted about a 1/3 tank of gas but it was worth it. watcha think.

Didn't know 3rd gen preludes can undergo an h22 swap. Arent they light as hell compared to our cars? Seems like the prelude shuda won, but congrats on the win

EDIT: :::off topic::: I saw your profile, nice mods, now I see how you beat him, even thought our cb's are alot heavier. What kind of paint did you use to paint your door panels?

people have done it.. have to re-weld brackets for the motor mounts it think? I've also heard of some doing b18c swaps. The car was weird (i used to have one).. its a b-series motor but the way it leans is like an h22/f22

Yea they come with the b20a or the b21a1, A friend of mines has an 91SI. Nice cars though, comes with everything and is pretty fast with mods. Its just like a civic as engine swaps goes....can fit the b series pretty easly in them.

they come with the b20a5's. fitting an h22 is a hack job for them, but alot easier than the 2nd gen, lol. I had a 2nd gen, it would have been a total hack job to fit an h22 in there. but i know its possible and some have done it, theyre quicker than hatches with an h22.

anyways, nice kills tho man. it sounds about right since he is way lighter than you are.

Sounds like a fun race even though i was leaning more toward the 3g prelude. I thought the prelude was light but you never know coulda been the driver or something? But anyway good race.

yea he had a hell of a time stuffing the h22 in that car. He had to fab up 2 new mounts, looks good though. its pretty quick, he definitly has a big weight advantage.

I used some flat black expensive ass bumper/molding paint, can only get it wholesale to bodyshops. even though its a flat finish it matches the other black in my interior perfect and it hasent faded yet.
