Just got back from the track and here's my new times. Out of the six runs I got here's my best 3. Remember this is a USDM F22B1 w/intake and ebay special header as the only "power adders".

Next night is Sept. 3rd and I'll be there again. I have a few changes in mind and I plan to get this thing between a 15.2-15.4 and a trap speed greater than 90 MPH. These runs are an improvement over last time but I still see more potential without having to add or buy any new parts. Ultimateley I want this thing to hit high 14's without me having to add any new parts. I figure if I can improve my driving skills and get it fine tuned, then this is a realistic goal.

I had a friend taking video of the runs, but he recorded it on the mini-DV tape instead of the digital memory so as soon as I can find a way to get it on my computer they will be posted.

Bullshit. I would like to know what you did to get the car down to 2100 pounds. I had mine fully stripped and got it down to 2500 so you might want to reestimate.

That still isn't going to add up to 800 pounds off of your car because a lot of the stuff you listed weighs just a couple of pounds. Go look up kentuckyaccord because he actually has 800 pounds off his car. I'm not trying to be an ass or anything, but just take it and get it weighed so you know how much progress you've made.

I've seen his before. He has a few things done that I don't but I have a few things he doesn't. I'm gonna update my thread with some more current pics and you;ll see the difference. The only things left of signifcant value that I can strip is the glass. I will swing by Southern States and have it weighed again.....I'll take a pic for proof

What I did whenever I wanted to get mine weighed was I just drove to a landfill because they have scales on the way in so I just asked the guy a stupid question looked at my weight and drove off. It was free and easy... so if you have one by you just a thought.

Hey acclude…. I didnt read ur whole strip list but if you don’t have the dash removed and have not removed it because you want to maintain you heat switches (said it’s a daily, so I figure u wanna keep the heat..lol) there’s a way to do it.
When I had my cb7 stripped I remove the dash… then ran the heat switches back to the original spot and just screw the heat switch box back into place (when u remove it u will know what i mean), for the gauge cluster I set that right above the steering wheel and zipped tied it into place. But before I did all this I brought a $8 carpet from walmart and place it in the areas the dash was, weighs next to nothing plus it looked better then seeing all the wiring all over the place…… incase I got pulled over my the cops, then I also cut holes in the carpet where the clock was originally and that’s where I put my aftermarket gauges at. Just an idea….

Thanks for the tips, but the heat and A/C has long been removed. There is nothing left behind the dash. Heater core, blower motor and evaporator are gone along with all the dash vents, controls and tubing. The modules and and other devices behind the dash have also been removed. The only reason the dash cover is in there is so I don't get hassled by the police. lol I think I'm gonna go ahead and pull that out too just to shave another 15 lbs or so.

I will weigh it next time I get a chance and take some more current pics to show the extent of weight reduction. There's not much left to pull/cut out so I'm gonna have to start swapping parts out for lighter ones.

lol, i got pulled over once when i had the dash remove and the crazy thing is....
when i did it, i forget to remove my vin so it wasnt there.
the cop looked, came to me and....... didnt say jack, just asked for my reg. and lic.
cop got me for a loud exhaust system...lol

i didnt even realize it myself until i put and different dash back in (changed my interior over) and realized i didnt have a clue where the vin was...lol

Yeah, I'm really leaning towards taking the dash out altogether and just use zip-ties to hold the gage cluster in place. The title is in the dealerships name so it's not very likely that they'd write the dealership a ticket for it. And it's only gonna be on the road for a few more months. I'd like get another car before it gets too cold outside (no heat, lol!).
