Acclude Vs. 03 Mustang Gt

Last night my friend and i were driving and ran into this 03 Mustang GT.
we took off from 1st gear and we were side by side through 4th gear. when i talked to the guy i asked him if he was modded and he said yes but didnt say what. it sounded like he had a short shifter kit though. Now prepare yourself for this, next he says that 2 injectors are out and he said he was only running on 6 cyl.

hmmm well i think he's full of it! He's just making excuses because an accord stuck with him. "2 injectors are out and he said he was only running on 6 cyl.

On a normal engine, he'd be running lean if 2 injectors were out, I believe. He may have been having trouble with the motor, but I doubt it was that. Perhaps he was a ricer and made a 6cyl to look like a GT?

I have a feeling he was upset that an Accord hung with him. An H22 CB7 is still slower than a stock GT, but that's only if the GT is in good shape and the driver isn't horrible. Get someone that can't drive behind the wheel of a 92 5.0 that has seen better days and chances are you might win.

my friend has a 92 5.0 Mustang w/ intake runners and throttle body and i beat him by 1 car from a stop. (auto)

i beg to differ deever, because running stoich is running stoich, if 2 injectors arnt firing it doesnt mean it is going to run lean, because it still has the correct A/F ratio on the other cylinders so it will run like a 6 cyl but will still have correct A/F ratio..

even if he just had 6 v8 they run low 13s stock. So running crappy with a good driver is still under 14s or at low 14s. very possible

The 99-04 GT's are a high 13's to low 14's car with the right driver. I have a feeling it may have been a V6 dressed up as a GT like deever said especially if he was telling you "two of the injectors were dead" afterwards.

the V6s run low 15s so But if it said GT on the side, not back then its a GT if not then its all v6

if two injectors are out, his car wouldn't be able to go past 3500-4000 rpm. He would have a CEL and it would cut off fuel around there so that the cyclinders don't blow. I know, I've ridden around with an injector out.

My best friend has a 95 GT with about 90k so its not a fresh motor, but he has k&n filter and full exhaust, he's a good driver but his best time to date is a 15.2, but his posi was failing at the time. So that may have had some influence, my 98 Cobra ran 14.3 with just exhaust, Im an OK driver not the worst but not the best.

Did it have "Bullet Wheels" the 5 spoke design that is round and sometimes 2-tone? I have no dobt Acclude that it was a V8 car. There is a distinct difference between the two, V6 cars die off in 3rd gear badly, another thing to look for is fog lights, the rear bumpers are different- GT exhaust outlets on each side, V6's the bottom of the rear bumper is completely straight accross with the exhause coming out underneath. I used to work for a Ford Stealership before I was fired for some bull SH!T. Two injectors sounds like an excuse b/c with that he wouldn't have raced due to a safety mode on the PCM (domestic ECU). Dude, I hate those guys, when I first did my 240 swap It had an sr20,blitz intercooler,act 6 puck, and a fuel pump, but it looked pretty shitty(sotck height hubcaps faded paint) I was comin outa autozone and two guys were leaving in a 2000 mustang gt parked next to me. I put my car in reverse an accidently made a burp! with the tires (barley any sound) all of a sudden these guys are behind me peeling out of their parking place and shit, So we pull out the parking lot to the first stop light and I fucking left this dude sideways at the light!! A)I don't exzagurate? So don't hate B) I would have smoked him anyway. But I never even SAW him next to me one time, I simply smoked the shit out of him. Now, when we get to the next light dude don't even want to look at me, then I asked him what happened? Oh my car wasen't running right (2 year old car at the time?) How can it not run right? EXCUSES!!!! Man if someone smoked my 240 like that I'd want a ride in their car!! Not make up some stupid reason why a suposedly crappy car RAPED! a 11yr newer sports car?I hate people that get super butt-hurt about being beat, THERE IS ALWAYS A FASTER CAR OUT THEIR, unless your bill gates!
