he didn't build the car for gas mileage so who would care to ask? I can guarantee he gets atleast 24-27mpg tho

I've asked him on a number of occasions. Collective Racing is all about building powerful motors that are practical as well. He actually claims 28mpg, which is more than my 185whp (estimated) H22 is getting at the moment! I have a feeling his low end is still decent, so he's not revving to 5K just to pull through the McDonalds drive thru. I'm also sure he doesn't floor it everywhere

Anyway, wasn't this thread about turbo?

If the turbo guys don't break loose through the first 3 gears when the turbo really kicks, then they should be able to run 13s at least. Antoine, what's YOUR gas mileage? (That's one of the main reasons why I didn't want to go turbo on the H22... Accord SiR said he gets horrible mileage, and 2point6 says he gets great mileage... Both cars are monsters on the street )

antoine better watch out for me....haha i should have a new secret weapon soon....actually three of em (maybe four) i beat a modded wrx the other day to 60....whats their quarter??? i was pulling on him, and 3rd and fourth is where i make my power...also my gear ratio is very good for my setup...shift 6.5k pick back up at 4.5k.

enough with the street stories, guys.. we all want slips!!

you guys should organize a cb7tuner track meet or something down there. i'm thinking about starting one for the mid-atlantic/NE guys. we don't have a huge # of boosted cb7s up here though... not like down there at least.

well, it seems a bone stock wrx runs a 14.5 1/4 mile USED at 40k. so apparently im running a low 14 second quarter.

Averaged about 31-33mpg throughout the whole TN trip. This was including driving around town, hauling ass on the highways, and a couple pulls with various passengers. I called mere on my first stop. I'd traveled 325 miles and filled up with 11 gallons = 29.5mpg...went to h23accords house and adjusted. The ability to lean out partial throttle as i please to save gas is a beautiful thing lol. I haven't tried doing city miles yet but its probably around 25mpg.

And honestly my goal for this car is low 13's, on street tires, full weight, 10psi on pump gas. If thats too easy then i'll go for 12's...with tools and heavy ass subs in just to piss ppl off

yah guys...dont hold your breath for track times from me. my closest track is a little over 2.5 hours away. thats one hell of a tow bill home if anything should happen. a risk i cant take on my daily driver.

Even if i do suck it up and run it at the track this year i wouldnt expect very good times for the following reasons:

                      1. Iv never driven on a track, my in experience alone would put me at a great disadvantage

                      2. my car has 18" rims on it which is another big disadvatage....ALTHOUGH it is possible that they would HELP me get a little more traction that some of the other turbo guys...who knows

                      3. my clutch is horrible, stock clutch + 215ft/tq = junk

ok im done with stupid excuses now lol. but seriously all those things would make my times not even worth risking something breaking a few hundred miles away

wikked going turbo??? whenever I get my turbo on(may 22 is now the date set in concrete for the install...) by then I should have the turbo, clutch/flywheel upgrade, exhaust, and I'm debating to get suspension or axles after that, and well see what my track times will be...
