Goodbye Del Sol - Goodbye Celica GT-S.

Saturday night I was out at Gandy on the bridges where everyone hangs out and this red Del Sol with a huge wing, body kit, altezzas, rims, and some kind of swap would rev at me all the time.

Saturday: We got on the bridge, it was kinda drizzly so that wasn't good on my part since my camber angle is off a little so I was spinning the tires.. but anyways we both just take off and I left his ass so damn fast. After I hit about 115mph or so.. I'm probably 3 car lengths in front of him and he does the infamous ricer flyby with a nice rev. Silly ricer, got his ass handed to him.

Tonight: I was going to the gas station and off to vacumn out the car and I see some blue headlights in my rear view mirros so I figured it was another car wanting to race. It was a kitted out '02 Celica GT-S 5-speed with wheels, dropped, exhaust and all that. He had me from a rolling start at 45 cuz I wasn't ready and didn't know he wanted to go.. in front of the mall we go and I left his ass pretty bad. I was at least 4 or 5 car lengths in front and he turned off cuz a lot of people were watchin us race.

I love my H22A, makes me smile.

sweet dude.. i havent beaten a gt-s.. but have kept up with one before.. kill the base celicas though... those del slows are fun to beat i havent raced any swapped ones so they are fun for me now.. haha nice kills

the races at gandy are always good.. twin turbo supras, g35's, 350z's, some right hand drive cars, civics, accords, celicas.. ect

the gts lack in torque dept and dont really pull until like 9k hahah

i'll give it to him, his car was pretty quick. had to have a little work done. his car looked pretty good too.

the 2002 gt-s is limited to 7800rpms and can't stay in lift(vvtl-i) when it shifts, try one with an 8400 rpm limiter

also there is no 5 speed gt-s, unless it was a gt with a swapped gts motor, which on an 02 would be even slower

The H22 is nice, but to tell you the truth, a good deal needs to be done to keep up with some of the real sports cars out there. Nothing rediculous, but a newer domestic V8 is still out of our reach. Sad, but true. The H22 DOES close the gap a good deal though!
