First Kill

I have an F22A6 with a cone filter on the stock intake pipe, a Greddy Evo cat back, auto trans, I burn oil and the car has been running really rich lately.

Tonight on my way to pick my girlfriend up from work I happened to end up next to a Kia Rio waiting to turn onto the on-ramp for I-75. I thought nothing of it and as the light turned green to turn, I floored it as usual so I don't have to wait behind some slow driver while trying to merge onto the highway. The Kia stayed on my tail all the way up the on-ramp and after passing a few people he flicked his brights and I merged over. I expected him to drive by since we were going about 90, but instead he came up beside me and gassed it a little. Well, me never having raced before, figured I'd give it a try so we slowed down to a 50mph roll. He lined up beside me and honked 3 times, the nose of his car lifted, I floored it, the car dropped down into second and I walked him.

I understand that it's a Kia Rio and it probably has less HP than a stock A6, but it was my first actual kill/race so I figured I'd share. It's definitely a fun feeling and I'm glad I didn't get beat by a Kia.

Congrats! Im really glad you didnt lose to a KIA, that coulda been devasting! Its a blast when you run someone down! Just be careful,some times and some cars just arent worth the risk of getting hurt or in trouble! Still, treasure the moment! Maybe youll get a reward from your girl later,lol! Peace!

I don't get that vibe from the story. Sounds to me like just another car guy wanting to have a bit of fun. Gassing it a bit and tapping the brights is just a way of getting the right attention.

Yeah, it's nice our stock engines aren't too bad. I remember my first kill, it was an old F-150 and an old Volvo sedan at the same time. I just had a cone filter and a muffler. All three of us lined up at a light, I took them fairly easily. It's definitely a cool feeling, congrats

Kia Rio's are interesting little econoboxes, but no, not powerhouses really.

Did he have any "ricey" mods? Most Rio's I see around here have a park bench wing and fart cannon.

my first race was funny, my friends riced Pontiac sunfire with a 2.0 in it with a k/n intake and glasspack. we come off the on ramp he floored it around me and i droped in to forth and i just took off had him by 3 lengths by the off ramp and i was bone stock =)
