Yeah dunno why it's not on the site but I saw a pulled engine on ebay said 226 from an R/T would also fit mitsubishi eclipse like 99 and up cause I was looking at engine models for a friends eclipse. Was 3 liter not 3.5 my mistake there and the intrepid is 224, actually 2004-5 has another model that is a little higher than that too.

The late 90s Intrepids with the 2.7L engine were TOTAL crap. Those engines were so bad that they're REALLY hard to find! They all blow at about 80k. My friend bought a 98 at an auction that had a bad engine. He figured "what the hell, I can replace the engine cheap and sell it.." WRONG... that engine was selling for about $3000. He sold the car cheap as-is and lost $1000.

yeah whatever you say our 3.5 ltr would prolly kill any stock accord it's way faster than my accord. There's a reason the cops around here are getting intrepids instead of the old crown vics if you ain't raced the better v6 model hold off on tha comments. I know call me rice w/e it's still at least 3 secs faster than mine all the way to it's 110 limiter.

well man those police intrepids dont have the freeking 3.5 l engines....police dont use them for that, they like them for there size, and there cheap to buy for police stations.......all cop cars either get the Lt1 vette engine(which is in all the crown vics) or they get the 3.8 Liter supercharged impala ss engine. i would be willing to bet the intrepids have the 3.8....and no one should try to argue this with me, im in college to become a law enforcement officer, i have tooken numerous tours of police stations, and jails. etc. and i have 3 friends who work for the local PD around here. but i just know someone is gonna argue with me.

Chevy engines in Ford and Chrysler products? I don't think any manufacturer would allow that, and I don't think the police force (or the state for that matter) would pay for such a radical custom swap. Larger than stock engines, surely, but larger than stock Ford and Chrysler engines I would think...
Could I pull up to a cop in an Intrepid and ask "that thing got a Hemi?"

well man the police forces dont pay anyone to do work on their cars, in most cases. most of the work done to the cars is done by jail inmates, who are on the work release program. yes i know that sounds ridiculous, but thats how its done. and i did ask some of my buddies who work at the SPD and they told me that infact the intrepids have the 3.8 supercharged. but anyway there is no need for us to argue over this, pluse were way
