H22 Coupe vs. BMW 335i

chillin on the way home from work after a longer friday at work than anticipated.

There was nobody around, I was driving speed limit 45 mph. Out of nowhere this ~2007 BMW 335i jumps on it and almost rearends me.
I still chill cause he is driving like a fool. So we both end up at the red light (naturally).

He rolls down his window, as do I. He says " You got anything done to that slow honda?"
To which I respond "Come on man, your seriously trying to play in a 3 series, got anything faster in your garage?"

He got all pissed, light turned green, I said screw it and gunned it as did he.
From first into second I gained 1.5 cars, third came and I was gone. Got him by about 3-4 cars.

Next red light about 4 miles up the road, I ask "Did you misshift or something?"
to which he responds "Naw man, like you said its just a 3 series!"

I laughed and we each went our own ways!

I thought this was the boosted car.

He must not have been able to drive very well, or it was an auto.

The manual versions of those are EASILY 13 second cars with a decent driver.

naw I have never been beaten by a 3 series.
I know they are fast but still.
and I know it was manual. or he was really hurting his tranny.

It's actually kind of funny how many people manage to buy fast cars and then can't drive them fast, or anything remotely resembling fast.

Reminds me of a recent article by "The Mechanic" on Inside Line, talking about how most people couldn't drive a Honda Accord to its full potential.

I guess that guy needs to read the article too.

A Mildly modified 335i around here gives my friends 320awhp Evo a hard time.

And that Evo gives C5 owners panic attacks.
