Track day...finally hit 13 seconds

I bought some slicks this week. I have been wanting some since my car was boosted 2 summers ago, but I finally got some and I dropped nearly 2 seconds of my time. My times are what I had expected, so I was really happy. It was my first time driving with slicks and the difference is incredible. I was able to launch at 7Krpm and I would hook up.
I went during the day and there were about 25 cars there, 10 of them being Honda's (mostly Civics), but I was actually the fastest Honda there. I think I surprised a lot of people..lol.
My first run I ran a 14.2, but that was my first time with the slicks, then I let my buddy who's been racing cars since he was kid take my car out and he ran a 13.8, I was so happy to see that and then I had to go try and beat him, so my next run was the best run of the day 13.6! It was a perfect run for me. After that we were consistently in the 13.9 to 13.7 range. I'll post all the stats in the 1/4 mile thread. Just thought I'd share

Most importantly, what was trap speed?

From your power levels, I'd say you're doing pretty good.

Get that 60 footer down more(I1) and you'll see low 13's fo sho.

Time for some solid mounts and a traction bar. 1.9 is pretty horrible for slicks.

I have the explicit speed traction bar and mounts, but you`re right 1.9 isent the greatest, but either is the track that we run at, so I take that into consideration.

I guess probably because of the bad rep that they got over the years. Like if its not a civic its slow so to speak. Glad to see you run those times

thanks man, I do have to drop my 60' time, I think I should launch at a higher rpm because those slicks are really hooking up
