ok so my buddy has a 1998 cavalier automatic, thinks he will dust my 92 coupe cb7 my car has a CAI and exhaust, his is stock and has heavy ass subs in thye trunk, think i can take him?

The weight is similar (2,562 lb - 2,784 lb) The HP is 125 for the 2.2 liter, but the 2.4 is 150hp. If he's got the 2.2 it'll be a close race.

I raced a caviler on the highway b4, he got me! Dam 3rd gear, I was in 3rd, and he started pullin on me in 4th, I gave up.

I have 2.0 sohc and 11.5 fw, 2.25 exhaust.

hes got 115 hp and an auto trans that sucks out what little top end that the motor has. unless hes got the 2.4 id bet on you.

it also depends on whether you can drive or not.just having a fast car doen't mean shit if you don't know how to drive it,and the same goes for a slow car.if you keep it in your power band you'll get him.in that auto he can't regulate his gears unless he manually shift it himself(which i used to do when i had an auto)so the out come is slightly in your favor.
