raced a g37 in the rain

Today in the rain in a short distance for shits and giggles. We both pulled up to the light and hes got his cap and do-rag on. So im just paying attention he hears my car after i was testin out my gtech pro ss when i was calibrating up my rpms.

He revs back so i ignore him. He revs up again im like shit okay i put my dial a boost gear dial up to setting one which is good for rain.

At the light he must have forgotten the traction control he just sat there and spun I took off. And oddly the cops where rigth behind us the whole time undercover in a jeep. They pulled him over and then they left.

The guy with the g37 comes up to me at the light and goes yo wtf you got in there I told him its a 2.4 4 clyinder turbo. He goes damn i cant believe i spend 35k on this car and i cant even beat a srt4. I shrugged my shoulders at him like well i dont know. He says he beats on hondas all day waxes accords and civic hatchbacks.

I asked him what car he had before that he said he had a 5thgen accord but he trashed it. I laughed and told him well i gotta go and thought to myself well good luck and i pray he doesnt trash the car hes driving now driving like that.

I doubt his car will last very long. So he has a top-of-the-line V6 and yet he brags about beating 4-cylinder Hondas? I know you can build Honda engines to be fast but how many built engines is he actually beating? I guess he developed an inferiority complex after he fucked up his Accord.

I am glad that you know when and where your limitations lie and are confident enough, but how about on his end (other driver) ? Granted, you say it was a short sprint but things can/do happen.

It has nothing to do with confidence. The most confident people in the world fail. I can race down a wet road with all the confidence in the world, until i hit an oil patch, wet leaves, animal/human, and a plethera of other things. Whatever possibly can go wrong will.

No one wants to read a story about racing in the rain.
