    Auto-x with auto.

Is it possible to auto-x with an auto tranny?

I don't have a manual car with me at college so I'm wondering if you guys that auto-x had any tips on auto crossing with an auto tranny.

Yeah you can. A good number of people do auto-x with automatic transmissions. They are usually slower, but still have fun.

well... auto sticking will ruin the tranny... so I don't really want to be pumping it into second and first and back to second again.

Yeah... I guess I'll just leave it in 2nd or 3rd then.

you usually only stay in 2nd or 3rd gear i think. so just put it in d3.

How so? I know many newer cars have it where you can slide the stick to the side and it becomes like a maunal...

I ususly shift mine up through the gears.
