    2008 Accord LX-S

    Warning: uninteresting, bare basics race story-

    Roommate and I have been wanting to race for a while so tonight we did. Id say my car is at 80-90% at the moment, but when he jumped on me at 40, I reeled him in by the middle of third. We did a proper 40 punch after that and I had two cars on him by the end of second. From a dig to the top of third, I had at least a couple buslengths on him.

    The weight KILLS those cars, cuz Id bet money its putting down at least as much power as mine right now.

    Oh yeah, the LX-S comes with the 190hp K24 from the EX. I didnt race a v6. A J35 Accord would have walked me as bad as I walked him.

    Auto or manual? And yes, they are fairly heavy. An auto V6 probably would have walked you. A manual would most likely have KILLED you. They are much more powerful than the auto V6, and have a lot better gearing.

        Auto, but most of the four banger guys have been saying the gearing is so close, theres hardly a difference between the two.

                That would amount to less than 10WHP, the time of which could EASILY be lost during the shifts on a manual tranny.

                    Such a small one that a slow shift in a manual tranny car could easily make up the difference.

                      Who shifts slow in a manual when they're racing though? You just can't bang gears in an auto like you can in a manual
