    CB7 vs. 94 Prelude VTEC

okay this is how it went, right after school I was going home and saw some guy I know at a stop light as I was passing by and waited for him to catch up and so he got ahead of me their was traffic so I was behind him speeding through traffic until we could get next to each other so we did so we both were going about 20mph or more I don't remember so we both floored and he was pulling on me so I shifted into 3rd and I was catching up almost near his rear bumper and he shifted into 3rd and just pulled and left me at leat 4-5 car lenghts behind and then I went again for the hell of it and same thing happened. I was trying and it seemed like he wasn't damn their fast. I need an H22 swap and that was my first loss ever.

I knew H22's are fast but they are worth swaping I need to start saving up for it. After seeing what he did to me makes me want it even more.

a swap is a must... i have been happy since the day mine was done. i actually think you did pretty well against him. i wouldnt think a regular cb7 would stay that close through 2nd.

not to be a cannibal or anything, but i want to run a stockish cb7... just to see how i do against myself(pre-swap). im just waiting for the day some ricer accord revs on me... boy is that gonna be fun.

i ran a (i think stock) cb7 the other night, had yellow hotwheel type stickers on it...lol, str8 up riced out..
left him, the celica and the ecilpse (they were all racing, then i joined in) by 5+ cars.
after that i just broke it down and let them finish what they was doing
              NEED RAP BEATS.....

h22+boost owns all in this matter. :do you know how many stock cb7's ran against me thinking they would win and lost when i was done toying with them. Then i break it down and then just look at em like was it really worth it lol.

I kinda hung w/h22sparkle in 1st & the beginning of 2nd, but he pulled away like hell when VTEC came in 2nd. It wasn't even disputable. I think a boosted F22 w/like 8-10psi would outlaunch and stay ahead of a stock H22...but who knows? I'm still slow...

A boosted f22 would definately be a good match for a stock h22. A hell of a lot cheaper too.

Yea but w/the money put into a boosted H22 you could have a scary ass F22, w/new rods+pistons, turbo cams, etc. As far as boost goes, the F22's easier and cheaper...but whatever. I'm broke right now so my car's gonna stay slow for a while...don't worry though...

you mean turbocam and no the f22 wont be as scarey as a boosted tuned h22. And dont let me get my hands on some pistons and rods either. for the money that youll dump into yours compared to the money i dump in mine well see whos the read victor . Thats a big problem with people on this board they cheap out cause they are broke. If your broke the turbo game is not for you

Before I say "duh, of course, that's why I don't have one" I'll just do some quick math:

                              Very Turbo F22 Accord:
                              Cost of Accord+DSM manifold/turbo(~$400)+electronics(wideband, V-AFC, $500 maybe)+ intercooler+piping($300 tops)+ new exhaust($150)+ new rods/pistons ($700)...$2,050+the car...

                              Very Turbo H22 Accord:
                              All the stuff from before+ H22 (longblock-$1500, full motor w/tranny- $2000+), new sleeves(I dunno, $500 maybe?), H22 turbo manifold(at least $400)...at least $2400-$2900 MORE.

All I'm saying is think about what you could to an already turbo'd and relatively built F22 w/$3000. I'd get an extra F22 for safety and swap the crank for an H22 crank, get some high-RPM cams, valves and valvesprings and call it a day. All motor, the H22 is clearly the better choice...but I'm not convinced as far as turbo motors go. OR, I'd just cash out and get an S14 240SX...Just MO though...

And yea, I'm trying to graduate, so I don't really have time to do much to my car. I'm just keeping it in good shape and on the road.
