seems pretty slow even if it was stock. keep trying man. i was running like 10.20s in stock form with no weight reduction at all. actually, i had an ACT clutch and an exhaust maybe but thats it.

last time i ran the 1/8th mile it went 8.71 @ 78mph. all motor, slicks, 2300lbs w/ driver.

those times seem dead on man. back den w/ my single cam i ran kl33n 10.6s w/ I/H/E, and H23 intake mani track conditions influence times GREATLY, don't forget.

                  ps. my car's auto

if you're correct thats pretty sad for 400hp unless you mean crank hp cause if thats the case, believe it or not there is a 25-30% loss of power to the drive axle in rwd vehicles. meaning 400hp is more like 280whp-320whp. but anyway back to the car at hand, thats still not bad. our cars in stock trim should run anywhere from a 17.3-16.9 in the 1/4 and a 11.6-10.9 in the 1/8.

yea my dad doesn't have any official hp numbers, but he is guessing that he runs about 400 at the crank.... he has a built 350 but is runnin a 3 speed auto... if he put a stall converter in that bitch his time would drop a lot!!! his motor is built for high rpms and wit his current torque converter hes gettin off the line at like 1500 rpms and kinda boggin..... but anyway, 8.6 in a cb7? thats just bad ass...... is that car still streetable?

Other than no a/c I drive it a few times a week, full interior and stereo (No subs). I actually went through all my slips and my quickest 1/8th to date was an 8.49 @89mph, ands 1/4 is an 13.2 @105. I havent ran it at the track in almost two years but I'm trying to get back out there next weekend, if I do I'll post up some new slips. L8r
