I always heard higher PSI up front for auto-x. Mainly because of the weight distribution.

how is the car handling? i imagine crazy understeer.

          try harder in the rear.

i would come on the track for a few laps in the beginning at 3 all around, equal tire pressure.

          struts: illuminas

i pit in and it never fails when i go 4 front and 5 back.

higher pressure in the rear by 5-8 psi

biggest diff i can see in autocross.

i dont think the tires will heat up.

after 2-3 laps on a 4km course, the tires are gummy/hot

after 8 laps, i got to pit in to check my tire pressures.

anyway, worked for me, ITR's would get in my way if they were running street tires.

I will try higher in the rear next time. Because I do understeer a lot.

                yeah man.

once u get the over steer on an FR, mash the gas to counter it

tell me how it goes. i miss tracking my cb7.

if u want more oversteer, get a custom rear toe out alignment (a little too hairy for me, and i couldn't bother with different settings)

Haha. I am worried about getting a toe in/negative camber alignment on this car now because I drive it almost 400 miles a week. Rear toe out? I need another car, that is what I need.

Tires have an optimum tire pressure range (usually only 2-3 psi). If you are under or over this range the tire will lose grip. You can get more oversteer by overinflating OR underinflating - relative to optimum psi range, not safety range - the rear tires. Same end result, just different tire wear characteristics. Since you don't seem to have a lot of rear camber, I'd suggest going with higher rear psi so you don't kill your tire's shoulders.

You're car probably is naturally understeering, but I bet most of it is driver induced. Grab an instructor for a ride along, you'll learn a lot.

It looks like you have a front camber kit?
