I was neck and neck w/ a 2000 Accord V6!

I'm kinda happy at my car's performance. Okay, I get to this stoplight where a white 2000 Accord V6 coupe was waiting. I actually pull behind them. Then the light changes, and the girls in the coupe don't move at all....for a solid 5 sec. So i move over to the open lane to the right and pass their lazy asses.

Well, it turns out, I guess she wanted to race me, lol. So its basically like a street start at 5mph and we go to like 55-60. I started about 1 car length behind her since I was right behind her when I decided to move to the right lane.

I gun it and then were off for like 2 blocks. THE ENTIRE TIME, I kept w/in a 1 car length's distance from her, since I started kinda back from her. So I didn't exactly WIN, but I got damn near close to beating a V6 Accord, those are good for what 200hp w/ the 3.0 liter V6's? At first, I was kinda dissapointed in my car since it looked like I was getting beat by a regular 98-02 6th gen Accord 4cyl. But then I saw the dual exhausts and the 5 lug 5 spoke alloys and knew it was a V6, so that made me feel better. But if it was a handling race, it woulda all been over for that car. My susp. setup woulda done circles around her.

I've got all bolt ons: Iceman intake (recent mod...haha yesterday), H23 TB&Plenum w/ double stacked IAB plates, recent cyl. head rebuild, DC header and Magnaflow/Greddy Catback exhaust.

I have to say I was pretty impressed w/ my F22A6 Automatic almost kickin the V6's ass.

If it was the new accord with the 6 speed you would have had no chance. I know from experience...

Although good to hear those f22's are still hanging in here. I thru a rod on my a6. As soon as I pay off my ticket im going to finaly go pick up my H22

you wouldn't have no chance against my v6 i tell you that i know your happy you almost beat it but if it was me driving i would've let you know i got vtec under my hood cuz i would have been gone from the get go

I used to pull slightly on our 2002 Accord V6, so it seems about right, as my F22 seemed to be quite healthy. You need to get your timing fine tuned, as that would probably help a bit.

As for the CG1 guy, be careful, CG1's aren't that fast.

The 6th gen isn't one of the newer ones. The 7th gens (03-07) will run well into the 14's with a good driver and a manual transmission. Some guys have almost run 13's.

The 8th gen (2008-2012) will probably run 13's with a good driver stock.

Either one will womp on a 6th gen V6 by quite a margin. The 6th gens ran mid 16's to high 15's in most cases.
