    My First Race......

    .......in the Impala.

    it's my dad's car, an '04 Impala LS, but i drive it once in a while.

    well, i was downtown just cruising when i come to a stop light. i'm sitting there when a 97-99 green Grand Prix rips up beside me. it was just an SE, so no big deal. the Impala has a bigger engine than that. so we look over at each other, and as soon as that light turned green we were off.

    and then i heard the whining coming from his car. the bastard was super charged! i'm assuming it was just the one that came with the GTP, but i'm not sure.

    yea, well he pulled on me by enough. probably a couple cars. i let off at around 80 KM/H. at the next light he asked if i was surprised, i was just like uh..........yea!

    i dunno, it was fun, but the Impala's not a very fast car. just thought i'd share my little story.

    lol, i got beat by a gtp to . I had 4 people in the accord and one was rather fat. I knew I would lose so I really didnt even launch just kinda floored after it was rolling it just pulled on by slowly. If it be only me it be a different story .

    Racing your dads car lol, think he'd be pissed if he found out?

      yea, the S/C 3800 is pretty quick. they have like 280lbs/ft torque, so they can move.

      and yea, he probably would be. he loves that car.

        That one guy in my car weighed like 280 pounds. XP. I actually wanted to get a GTP prior to falling into a bastard of a relationship with a 4 door cb7

                    Yup, I about got beat by a GTP when I had my S13 KA-T. I gave him a head start thinking it was a slow pos.

                          yea, he does. but last i heard, it was leaking oil in a couple places.

                          but yea, GTP's are no joke. especially SE's with the GTP engine.

                            the sleeper that surprised me most was some old shitty corrola with a huge shiny intercooler sticking out the bottom of it. and i got a good laugh when fat and the furious came out of micheals and pulled out of the parking lot doing about 5 under lol
