Exactly. My friend has a stock 2002 RSX-S. On the track he runs low 15's, but on the street from rolls he keeps up or beats faster cars, such as WRX, srt-4, Gsr hatchs..ect.

By building your pos eco box to run 12s ..you've figured out what auto engineers knew half a century ago. A potential problem is that your built box is so extreme in one direction I'm almost willing to bet in other aspects of racing you get yours handed to you. But it still smokes V8 stangs with the quickness dunny.

88 stock cobra totally doable with a h22 the new cobras are a lot faster my lil bros 2000 gt totally stock makes 260hp i find it finds most of its power in the mid 2 high rpm range sits ya back in yo seat and hit over 200kms/h pretty qwick on the highway my cousins older gt cant touch it @ 225 hp back in 88 now prob like 180 hp lmao

Actually, a well driven H22 Accord will keep up with the 260HP GT's on the highway too. That I have seen. And the new GT's, while having more power, seem to be possibly less aerodynamic, because in the real world, they really aren't much faster. I have seen that too.

I wouldn't say a lot. I believe they weigh in about 100-150lbs heavier.

The last Fox based Mustangs were no lighweights because they had to try and get a nearly 30 year old platform to meet modern crash regs.

According to Edmunds, the difference is less than 150lbs.

The extra 40 HP should have more than made up for that, as it would have dropped the power to weight ratio 11.6, down from 12.6, which is almost a 10% improvement on paper. But in the real world, I think it might be more because a lot of people say the new GT is underrated at the wheels.

I came across a 260HP manual GT, and he had NOTHING on my car. That was the biggest stalemate I have ever seen. The 2006 I came across was equal to inching. The 2006 had at least a catback exhaust, although I don't think those all by themselves do a whole lot.

Well seems like thats all there is to race around here but hell. I was driving down the road headed home from work when I seen this 98 bodystyled cobra weaving in and out of traffic messing with some civic. So I speed up and get behind the cobra and follow down the road. Well I pass him and stop at the red light. He pulls up and revs his motor and said "you need to get you a real car, ford baby" I'm thinkin' "this guy has no clue" So I yell back " you want to race" He started to laugh then I said" what is your car too slow, we can take it to the highway" as I pointed towards the highway. He has the wtf are you serious look and goes for it. First race was from a 40 roll I was just out of vtec. We both hit the gas him alittle bit before me. Amazingly he jump me by a fender. but at about 6k I pull back and proceed to put 3 car on him. Second race was at a 50 roll. This time I honk 3 times and we hit the gas at the same time. I instantly jump a car and then put another 3-4 on him. 3rd race I honked and got the jump and just left him bad... he pull back up to my window and I pointed to the road and he shook his head no and yelled "thats a fast ass honda" lmao Thats the last time he ever yells anything like that at another car.

tht jus goes to prove that you CANNOT keep up to a z06... if a z06 were to race that little mustang, he would RAPE him by at least 8 cars!
so how can u beat a mustang by only 4 cars an then say you can walk on a z06 ????

I glanced at the numbers and did it in my head. That number also seems a little low for some of the last Fox GT's I have seen weighed, but even still, at 215 lbs, the power to weight ratio STILL should be better.
