    A stock h22 puts out around 200-210hp
curb weight 2733, I'll give you 2600 with weight reductions

a stock cobra should put out about 390hp
    the 04 cobra's weigh around 3665 lbs or less...let's say 3600

one site I've found shows the cobra's power being 390 with the 5.0L and another shows it being 390 with a supercharged 4.6L

It would be a very close run with a gt...but not a cobra...in fact VERY close power:weight and weightower ratios. Even if the cb7 was reduced to 2500 lbs the ratios aren't close for a true cobra. Again, you would assume the cobra would have similar weight reductions...but maybe not.

Am I using correct calculations? Please feel free to check them

Not trying to argue...just posting what my number are and my opinion...I see h22's being posted as beating GT's...but I don't see it with stock h22's.
I suppose not impossible with a cobra sure...but not likely.

So if it was an actual stock cobra and a n/a non-built h22, well that would be a grand excellent kill...
    a re-badged gt?...still an excellent kill!

also, according to my calculations...my supra should be damn close to a cobra's numbers

Regardless a great kill...and mustang gt's and cobras are not weak

Calculating by crank hp is different from whp.

great! Now here is actual numbers

My h22 prelude dyno'd at 221whp with a 50 shot and weighted in at 2940 with a full tank of gas and without me in it.
        weight to power 13.3:1
Older cobras made 240whp (305 at the engine) and weight about 3600 or so I dunno.
        weight to power 15:1

Older gt mustang barely made over 200 at the engine I used to beat them n/a

Now I have more like a 100 shot, so that would move me to about 270 or so to the wheels... Lets just say I can roast the tires all of first, second and I spin going into third.

with all that... Lets say I make about 300 to the engine. (100 over factory 200hp) weight to power is 9.8:1
Remember tho... Power to weight isn't everything You have to see what the powerband looks like. I made 200+ hp from 5k to 8k were I shift. Corvettes dont make max power until redline thats why I pull away from the old z06s. Its all in the powerband.

uhmm if you`re making 300 to the engine (which ur not because you dont get an almost 50% increase in HP off of 50 extra shot on nitrous...) you would`nt even dream of even remotely keeping up to a z06...
a 2001-2004 z06 has an LS6 with 385hp an 385tq, yes its powerband peaks at 6000rpm an it redlines at 6500rpm but at 4800rpm its at 350+hp and at 5200rpm its at around 380hp... thts a pretty damn good powerband
          ( 0-60 MPH in 4 Seconds Flat , 1/4 Mile in 12.6 Seconds )

so even if the z06 is completely stock (which i doubt) he would eat ur "300hp" alive all day any day... sorry

This is not powerband coming into play. If what you say is true, its all driver.

I have a 100 shot brotha. We can talk numbers all day long but it doesn't mean anything on the street. I walk all over stock c5 vette... z06s are a little bit harder but I still pull away.
When I USED to have a 50 shot I made 200 hp at vtec (4800rpms) and held over 200 all the way to 8200rpms where I shifted. My dyno sheet is some where on this site. Oh yeah in 2002 the z06 power was raised to 405 fyi.
50 shot with the h22 is all you need to leave most stockish gt stangs and 100 shot is plenty enough to eat up ls6 z06s on down. Oh here is the last thing... driving ability has alot to do with it. I've raced cars before that were faster than mine... But the only reason I pulled away slowly is because of shifting.

still doesn't change the fact I've beat them in the past... Look I've race GT stangs that have bloooooown the doors off of my car. Camaros, corvettes, gtos, all of them... All I'm saying is that I've race a few.... quite a few that were mostly stock with ok drivers and I walk away from them. I'm not saying I beat a 11sec 150 shot camaro. But if its all stock with a few mods I give them a run from there money. Thats it. I'll stop posting if it'll make ya'll feel better. Damn.

Hows this for driver... My buddy has an AMG C32 I think it is... at the track he runs 12.9 tire spinning bad @ 106-108... Best I've run at the track do to clutch issues is a 14.2 at a 102mph... From a 50mph highway roll where my clutch doesn't slip I put 3-5 cars between us every single time until the juice runs out. That has nothing to with driver His car is an auto. He's even got the jump from the street and I'll walk him down and pass him.

I wasn't aware those numbers I used where crank hp and not whp...that WOULD make a difference...I assumed again...damn it

hmmm...didn't say you raced an "old cobra" and the numbers I gave were for 99 and up, if it were an older cobra that would matter more cause they didn't hit 300 I think till mid 90's. Didn't break 300 till later 90's.

on ford forums...whp on stock supercharged cobra is around 350-370 whp and a gt is around 267whp...but those are for the 04+ models

                          but either way...still...good job

my boy has a fully built k20 del sol that runs low 10`s all day on a 1/4 mile an he`s raced a number of z06`s an gets raped every single time...

You are making assumptions and passing them off as fact.

                                1) There is a significant difference between a C5 Z06 and a C6 Z06.

                                2) You are assuming a perfect driver. Just because some cars, on some tracks have run 12.6 (about what my buddies did), doesn't mean it is going to do that everywhere all the time with any driver.

                                3) Street vs track, dynamics, powerbands, gearing etc change dramatically. One thing that is unarguably true about a 1/4 mile strip is launching. A drag strip will always favor a car that launches harder, simple matter of physics. Take away the launch, and the game changes entirely. Especially if one car has the powerband and gearing to pull to 8K.

You see smaller "lesser" cars keep up with bigger badder cars all the time on the racetracks, that don't favor a good lauch.

There is a whole lot more that goes into winning a race than peak HP.
