g35 vs lexus ls300

I was cruising around in my loaner car (g35) to night and I got behind some guy's who I knew were gonna race to get in front of each other on an entrance to i40. After they battled it out, I pulled up next to the guy in the ls 300, cause the other guy was gone and we ran from 60-100. I walked him the whole way. I'm not crazy about speeding so I slowed down around 100, but he just kept on going. I wish I had been in the accord with my 272's for this, cause no one ever tries to race me in the accord.

I dunno, my friend is the one who told me ls300 is what it was. I didn't pay attention to what model Lexus it was.

Depends what year. The LS400 didn't hit 300HP until after the 3rd generation, and they are heavy cars. The GS in contrast has somewhere between 260-290HP in its first generation.

The LS400 is a very nice car, but it is NOWHERE near a fast accelerating sports car. I think the fastest version ran the 1/4 somewhere around the 15's.

I'd rather have the V8 for a daily driver then the inline 6. It gets better gas mileage.

There is an LS300 as I recall. Its old. My friend had one.

EDIT: I could be wrong but I recall LS300 in gold badging on his car lol. This was in the early 90s though.

There was no LS300 sold in the US.
