Any one good at wiring stereos?

this has nothing to do with my CB, so thats why its here

any way, i installed a deck into my 740, and it works, lights up and everything, but there is no sound. i looked in the trunk and there is a factory amp. i connect the amp remote wire to the deck remote wire, nothing

i connected the remote wire to constant power, NOTHING

i connected an extra speaker i had to the deck directly and it works.

any one know of a way to bypass the factory amp?

best/easiest way would probably be to run new wires to all the speakers.

your problem is that running the signal from the headunit to the speakers doesn't work since the oem amp interferes (safety, antitheft shit).....you can look for a converter that will allow it to work together or rewire that shit.....

yep, my friend and I ran into the same problems with his camero, so we just re-wired every single speaker.

fool. what wire are using for remote turn on? its a white wire. should be 2 amps in the trunk behind the driverside trunk panels. how many speakers does yours have? usually the wires are yellow and blue with different color stipes that i can remember for positive and brown for negative so if you cant get the amp to turn on have fun running wires to the trunk on that limo
