Help!!! 90 EF civic axle problem

    alright guys and gals...short read

Ive been working on my cousin's BF's EF..we got remanufactured axles, rebuilt by a reputable company..

Its a D16Y8 Vtec with a 5sp SI tranny..we pop the axles in and it appears that they are all good..(we had complications with the first pair of axles because there are 3 different color categories, but we got the right ones in the end) we put everything back together and we go to turn the car on and it starts..put it in gear and....shit goes nowhere..tranny appears to be good..

We let the clutch go in gear and we realized that the car didnt turn off???
then we realized that the clutch was not needed to put the car in gear..were not expert mechanics, but I have changed a couple of pairs of axles in my time so I know what im doing..

could it be that we F'd up and didnt put the axles in right or could it be that the clutch, pressure plate, or flywheel are bad??

any and all input is greatly appreciated..TIA

I dont know if it makes any difference but are you sure the axle is fully seated. As in pushed in far enough so that the c clip on the end locks in the tranny or half shaft?

Was the car running fine before the axle swap?

The car ran but the axles clicked before we changed them, and were gona make sure we sat them in correct..they looked good yesterday, but could have easily came out due to the car being lowere as far as the suspension lets it..could it be any other problem?

I would get under there and verify that they are in fact all the way in. If its a non lsd tranny then if one axle is out the car wont move...
