Another update:
Though I'm still trying to find out what's the meaning behind these. They look great on the car though.

Wow, those emblems look really classy, almost like the HOA ones.
Really liking this car. I've really been debating lately, when I sell my Civic, if I'm going to get a Forte Koup or an Optima next. I think Kia gives you best bang for the buck when it comes to a nice car with great content and decent finance rates.

Kia's are doing good overall , though some consumers complain this and that , it happens on all brands. Me being at Honda parts counter , I see alot of Honda vehicles being serviced for consumer complaints. However , some people just like to be fed on a golden spoon.
Rode on my cousins Hyundai Sonata , it's amazing. The interior is better than the Optima. But the Optima kills the Sonata on the outside.
Oh , if none of you have seen this. Then you must

Wow, what an awesome video. Just sat though the whole thing. Very inspiring. Definetly sold me on an Optima lol.
Said it before and I'll say it again. I wouldn't hesitate to go and buy a new Kia or Hyundai today.
My mother used to have a 2001 Kia Sportage. 2.0L Mazda engine. Great motor, never had any issues with it in the 8 years she owned it. However, the transmission, driveline, electricals and body were all problem and failure one after another.
She spent so much money repairing it, but she loved the damn thing because it was relatively cheap (from a purchase point), 4 wheel drive, compact and pretty decent on fuel. She hated on it a lot when things would go wrong, but we all said "it's a Kia, it's expected."
A year ago she finally replaced the poor old, rotten falling apart Kia, who served her well, with a 2004 Buick Regal GS. She likes the Buick, but she doesn't love it the way she had a real personable relationship with the Sportage.Last edited by crazymikey; 02-08-2013, 02:07 AM.

Yeah the current Kia lineup is proudly assembled in the USA. Unlike the previous lineup which were made overseas. Your Mom's Sportage reminded me of my old CB. It had problems one fix after another. My CB was a total money pit, but the connection between me and the car was great. I kept modding it despite the fact it was junk status. I never had a special connection with my Civic. I still felt that the CB was a far more superior car than the Civic. Eventhough the Civic was in far better shape than the CB ever had been.
