    aero: 1995 CD5 Sedan EX

Well, I finally found one. Got it on eBay, had to drive 2.5 hours to pick it up, but it was well worth it. So much more civilized than rolling around in the Cherokee.

    1995 Accord EX Sedan
    132k
    5-speed!!!!
    Green exterior
    Tan Leather (in great condition)

My brother took two better pictures yesterday... to replace the crappy ones I had on here before.

    Projects done so far:

    Cleaned the engine bay
Took off rear window tint (still have the sticky crap though)
Rear antenna would go up/down but would click, so I disconnected the power to it and it still works fine when retracted all the way.

    Projects in progress:

Black depo corners (black with the white lense inside) - ordered
    Window rain guards - ordered

    Projects on the way:

Clean and re-paint the wheels silver
new muffler (this one has holes)
    alignment (pulls a little)
Paint needs a wetsand and buff... its kinda dull.
    Eventually wheels and a drop...

I was planning on getting quite a bit done right off the bat (suspension, wheels...), but it looks like I may be keeping my 97 Cherokee also (money pit), so I dont have much money to throw at mods. So it'll stay pretty stock until I absolutely need something.

nice, you're going to love it. I did the obd-2-obd-1 swap from a 98 lude to my 5th gen, including a full rebuild of the h22a4. so if you need help with anything let me know.

Yeah, I am excited to get back into an Accord. I have honestly been watching online for an Accord (cb7 or cd5) for a good 8 months or so. I'll be plenty more excited when its in my garage though.

The parts car 98 Prelude, they only want $600 for it... But I just need the Accord first, then I'll think about it. Its the last thing I need. But... the first thing I want

Obd-2 to obd-1 doesnt sound too fun, is it? do you have to redo a lot of the wiring or purchase any stuff?

the only thing you need to do is obd-1 parts. distributor, injectors and ECU. I think i was running an obd-2 knock sensor, and that my stock p13 threw a code for it, so i opted for a chipped p28 to fix it. i could be wrong though but i'm pretty sure you'd need an obd-1 knock sensor as well to avoid a code. not sure what the difference would be.

as for wiring in the car, it's an EX, already wired for vtec so the only wiring modification you'd have to do is add a wire for the knock sensor (if you're running one)

you'd need a driverside prelude mount, and other then that it drops right in.

looks like it's in good shape. don't forget we have a cd5tuner.com as well

Glad to hear that it isnt too bad. Well... My wallet isnt.

Yeah, I am registered on CD5 tuner, I'll post over there sometime. Actually need to get to bed since the morning will be here REALLY soon.

But I am sure I'll be hitting you up when I find an h22, hopefully this parts car will work out.

Damn Aero I HATE you lol. I have the same colored car but I would like another one of the same exact color with NO rust.

Such a hard color to keep clean though...but I tossed out that tan interior for a grey one from a 96.

Haha... well it LOOKS like it doesnt have any rust, at least from the pics. It was registered in SC for the first few years of its life, so hopefully it escaped without any rust or anything.

Probably going to try to pick it up on Wednesday evening...

Check the drain tubes for the moonroof in the back end of the car...if they're not connected CONNECT them, I discovered mine way to late.

Will do. Usually it is monsooning, but for some reason the rain has been staying away. But I am sure it will have to pick up sooner or later.

                            Well, its in the garage!

Made it home w/o any problems (2.5hour drive with no plate).

The car is in great condition inside and out. The only 'problems' that I can see so far is it needs a little alignment and tire balance although it ran pretty smooth on the way home, it pulled a little to the right. The muffler has a hole, so its got some droning going on. And the rear window has tint and its bubbly. All easy stuff, and hopefully will get it all done this weekend. Swapping the plates tomorrow so I can start driving it on Friday.

And if you didnt think I was a freak before, you will now. After my ~3hour drive home, I moved the Jeep out of the garage, and put the Accord in. Shut the garage, and didnt even finish taking my crap out of the car before I started taking off the pinstripe. Thankfully it came off in big pieces, so the car no longer has pinstripes after only ~5 minutes in the garage. Yup...
