You should do a 4x4 CB with the Rosewood.

Got bored today after work so I decided to paint the motor, just stock color but freshened up.







Put the 35s on a couple of days ago...







I am currently have the front sheet metal off to clean up the front part of the frame so I can start to mount the motor and tranny in. Will keep up with the updates as I do stuff.

How it looks now...

Started doing body work, waiting to weld the mounts for the motor.

2/3rds of the firewall is done, took it down to bare metal then sanded and primered.




Started smoothing the passenger side.


Frame almost ready, brake lines and steering need to be taken out then the motor can go in.

Nothing really new, been too busy working on making the CB greater.


Hopefully I start working on this soon.

Interesting...I was always under the impression the Jeepster was 2wd only. I never realized that eventually they gained 4wd.

I love seeing older trucks rebuilt this way.

Well I believe the first generation Jeepster was 2wd only but when they brought them back in 1967 they were available in 4wd as well. Thanks for the comment!





Update: Friday I am painting the transmission, taking the front sheetmetal off, and getting the motor & tranny put together so they are one unit. Saturday my dad and I are taking the steering components out and getting the motor/tranny in place.

Did some work!





How close the balancer and crossmember are. Still needed room for the pulley.


How close to the firewall...
-Passenger side


-Driver side


My dad and I decided that we would cut part of the crossmember out and make it skinnier but make it stronger at the same time of course.




Cut out now, time to clean it up and weld it back together.

A little update, the motor is sitting on temporary mounts...have to do surgery
on the firewall as it needs to go back about 4 inches or else I can't get a
radiator in that is big enough to cool the BBC. Another option I'm thinking about
is a electric water pump as they are slimmer so it wouldn't stick out so much.
